Each enemy has a description describing behaviors and attacks, they also have the amount of shurikens are required to be defeated as well as the amount of points you receive after they are defeated. Some enemies also have a "More Info" section with a link to their Wikipedia page that will provide more information on their Japanese folklore.

Enemies[edit]

Enemies are found in every stage and they will try to stop you from reaching the end of the game.

Aobozu[edit]

These guys look like Yadokai but just blue. They charge up to shoot out three energy balls, going diagonally up, forward, and diagonally down. The hard part is you can't attack them while they are charging up, so you must attack while they are already attacking.

  • Defeat: 2 Shuriken
  • Points: 25

Aohannya[edit]

These are the blue counterpart of Hannya. They come at you pretty slow, but watch out they are able to shoot out projectiles.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 15
  • More Info: Hannya

Ashigaru[edit]

This gunner is usually in a platform higher than the one you might be on and shoots out 3 balls at the same time that drop down. Each one of the balls are shot at different distances, so be careful and watch out where they land.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 15

Hannya[edit]

Believe it or not, this is a mask that represents a jealous female. They move at an average speed but they tend to get really annoying, just clear them out and be on your way.

  • Defeat: 2 Shuriken
  • Points: 10
  • More Info: Hannya

Hitodama[edit]

This might be a little purple flame, but it is actually a soul of a recently deceased person. Take caution because when its floating it drops off other little flames onto the floor.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 10
  • More Info: Hitodama

Kaeru[edit]

You can't trust these little pink frogs with their little innocent faces. They'll jump at you and you'll receive damage, so do what you do best and blow it up into little bloody pieces.

  • Defeat: 1 Shuriken
  • Points: 5

Kage[edit]

These are shadow ninjas that just keep on coming out and are only found fighting alongside with Kage.

  • Defeat: 1 Shuriken
  • Points: 1

Kappa[edit]

These water imps are tricky little fellows. When attacked they retreat into their shells, so be sure to always attack when they are not looking.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 20
  • More Info: Kappa

Kiira[edit]

This yellow ninja might not move out of place, but he tosses shuriken at you!... one at a time. Be sure to attack when he isn't throwing them at you.

  • Defeat: 4 Shuriken
  • Points: 15

MegaHannya[edit]

At double the size of the original Hannya. Nothing new with this enemy only that it is more annoying than the original.

  • Defeat: 4 Shuriken
  • Points: 15
  • More Info: Hannya

MegaMushi[edit]

Just as the regular evil red ninja Mushi, this giant counterpart isn't much of a challenge either and has the same movement patterns.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 10

Midori[edit]

He stays in place and waits for you to approach him and then he strikes. He leaps up and throws a shuriken at your location.

  • Defeat: 3 Shuriken
  • Points: 15

Murasaki[edit]

This ninja is just having a good time, running and jumping, that is until you come to end his fun. Yep, that's all this ninja does, runs and jumps.

  • Defeat: 2 Shuriken
  • Points: 10

Mushi[edit]

These red ninjas are the weakest type of ninja and don't stand a chance. They walk back and forth on their platform and... well that's all they do. No trouble at all.

  • Defeat: 1 Shuriken
  • Points: 5

Oni[edit]

Alright this guy looks tough and might be for some. He keeps on jumping around trying to get you, but all you have to do is keep on moving, go under it, and attack.

  • Points: 15

Saru[edit]

Don't be fooled by the cute monkey face because it will just take one look at you and start tossing nuts (or feces?) at you.

  • Defeat: 2 Shuriken
  • Points: 10

Takenoko[edit]

If bamboo shoots are your enemy, then you know you have a problem in your hands. They pop up from the ground and don't actually do anything, so they're easy enemies.

Yurei[edit]

BOO! Scared you right? Well, this ghost shouldn't because he doesn't posses a threat. It floats and only moves forward, until it comes contact with a wall and turns around and keeps on going.
