Alternative World Games is a multiple-sports game developed in 1987 by Gremlin Interactive for several popular European home computers, including the Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Just as its name suggests, it is an alternative take on competitive sports in the vein of Summer Games, Winter Games, and Track & Field.

The game features eight different events; sack racing, plate balancing, river jumping, boot throwing, pole climbing, running up a wall, pillow fighting, and pogo jumping. All of the events feature background containing famous Roman and Greek ruins.

Kemco obtained the rights to publish several of Gremlin's computer games on the Famicom in Japan, and the NES in North America. This game was ported to those systems, and released with two different commercial character tie-ins, as Donald Duck in Japan, and Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular! in North America. The ports feature six out of eight events, lacking the running up a wall and pole climbing events.
