Digimon World 2 is certainly one of the more time consuming, but nevertheless fun Digimon games created. This strategy guide has been created using the knowledge of many FAQ's over the internet, and of coarse, first hand experience.

You are warned, however, this is not a spoiler free guide. Be carefull where you click.

Basics

In this game, you play as a tamer, named as you choose, who works on the dangerous Directory Continent, defending the Digital City. Most of the game will be spend traversing various Domains. When you are in a domain, the controls are as follows:

  • Triangle - Cancels any provided order
  • Square - Allows you to examine enemy digimon within the same room as you. You can find their type, any partners that are with them, and their levels. You also need this to give digimon gifts.
  • Circle - This will give you access to the In-Domain Menu
  • X - Allows you to examine what is infront of you, such as Treasure Chests or Mines.

Battles in Digimon World 2 are 3 on 3, or any smaller number (such as 2v3 or 1v1). They consist mainly of the three digimon trading attacks back and forth untill no digimon remain on either teem. See more on Battles.
