This guide is for the English (UK) version of the game. The American Version, however, isn't much different. For example, in the opening cinematic for the American version of the game, there's a high fence around the park and Jake loses his collar.
Dog's Life currently holds the world record for the most voice-overs done by one person. In the game, Kerry Shale performs 32 distinct voice-overs.

The game had positive feedback from some reviewers, stating it was an original, fun idea, and a change of pace from violent [[shooter|shooters]] or [[beat 'em up|beat 'em ups]].
