Lumines II is the highly anticipated sequel to the original Lumines that was released in 2004. Like its predecessor it is an exclusive game for the PSP. The main difference here is the inclusion of music videos from artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Gwen Stefani and New Order. Like most new Lumines games, it also has new skins and music tracks but the same basic gameplay formula is the same. There is also a new mode: "Mission Mode" which has been included especially for this version. Although never achieving the sales of the original, Lumines II has had praise from the media and the public, citing its addictiveness as the reason for its success.
