Mario Kart Wii (working title) is a Nintendo video game that was announced at E3 2007 for the Wii.
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime states that "Mario Kart Wii will be able to burn rubber around the world online..." The game was stated to be released within the first three months of 2008. However, no official release date has been stated.
Rumors also suggested that Mario Kart Wii would be released in 2007 for Europe to make up for the delay of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. [1]
The game will be packaged with a new Wii Wheel accessory for the Wii Remote controller, which can be used to enhance the impression of driving. It has also been confirmed to feature online functionality.
