Now that you've got the Space Jump Boots, you can continue on your work clearing the Phendrana Drifts. We'll take you back there as quickly as possible. But while you're at the Landing Site, there's a Missile Expansion up for grabs.

Directly aft of the gunship is a series of Morph Ball-accessible tunnels. The set to the right leads to an exit we're not ready for yet. The one to the left contains Tangle Weeds and a missile Expansion. Happy Birthday.

Proceed to the Monitor Station in Magmoor Caverns.

Path: Gully (you can now jump to the ledge from the back of the gunship), Tallon Canyon, Root Tunnel, Root Cave, Transport Tunnel B, Transport to Magmoor Caverns East, Transport to Tallon Overworld West, Transport Tunnel B, Fiery Shores, Shore Tunnel, Monitor Station

Monitor Station

Scan: Spinner Device

This is really just a detour, but since you're here, you might as well pick up a few things. Follow the path up to the second level of the central structure. Proceed as if toward the door to Transport Tunnel A, but just at the end of the catwalk, stop and look up and to the Left. There is another platform, newly within reach with your new Space Jump Boots. Ascend. Turn completely around and look up again. There's another platform. Ascend again. Turn hard right to the third level of the central structure.

Activate the spinner device to lower the collapsible suspension bridge and proceed to the Warrior Shrine.

This part is WAY ahead of schedule, but since you can, why not go ahead and pick up the Chozo Artifact of Strength?

At the moment this is all you can do here. Proceed to Phendrana Shores

Path: Monitor Station, Transport Tunnel A, Transport to Phendrana Drifts North, Transport to Magmoor Caverns West, Shoreline Entrance, Phendrana Shorelines

Phendrana Shorelines

There's a Save Station nearby. It's only right.

Next head toward the door to the Ice Ruins Access, but don't go in. If you look to your left, you will see a hovering platform you can access with a space jump. So space jump! From here you should be able to look out across the valley at an ancient looking portico, and the only exit you haven't passed through yet. Between you and that portico is another hovering platform. You should be able to get to the platform in two jumps, and to the portico in another.

There are several interesting features of this portico, which we'll dig into later. Currently, you can't access them, so proceed to the Chozo Ice Temple via the Temple Entryway.

Go up. There is a series of ledges with which to ascend. As soon as you can, head toward the fountain at the top of the temple.

There are other things to play with here that we can't get at yet, so be sure we'll be back. At the moment, we only want to proceed through, but the door is blocked by an indestructible grate. When you scan the grate, you learn that it is adorned with the image of a Chozo shaman. There are four similar statues at the fountain entryway. One of them is the image of a Shaman. Scanning reveals that it is also made of brinstone, which is susceptible to missile fire. Firing a missile should reveal a missile slot. Activate the slot, and you've opened the grate.

Proceed to the Chapel of the Elders via the Chapel Tunnel.

There before you lies your prize: the Wave Beam. It's a weapon. Of course there's going to be a battle.

As you approach the item, it recesses into the floor, and four sets of walls drop, revealing Baby Sheegoths. Kill them and by all appearances their mother, suddenly aroused, begins the attack.

Boss Battle: Sheegoth

Sheegoth is pretty tricky. First of all she's really big, and pretty tough. She shoots waves of ice-breath like her children, and can step on you. Second, she's immune to any form of energy attacks. In fact, she stores their energy: too many of them, and you can experience a blast back from the spines on her (fully armored back). However, she has two weaknesses: whenever she ice-blasts you, it forces her to pause and catch her breath. Secondly, her underside is pretty weak, particularly the area of the neck, which is most accessible.

So only missiles will work, and it takes a lot of of them. The trick is not to waste any. Do whatever you want to anger her while staying out of reach. Eventually she'll try to ice-blast you. When she does, dodge, wait for her to pause, and shoot her neck with a missile. Be patient - It's going to take about 15 clear shots to kill her.

When you've finished off the Sheegoth, your Wave Beam rises for the occasion and you're done.
