Profile

This is the first character you will use when you start the game. A Novice can attain 9 basic skill levels. As a Novice, you have the potential to choose any job and class from here.

Skills

Enables the ability to Trade with other people.

• Lv 2
  

Enables Emoticons. - Alt+Number

• Lv 3
  

Enables the character to sit. - Insert

• Lv 4
  

Enables the character to make a chatroom. - Alt+c

• Lv 5
  

Enables the character to join parties.

• Lv 6
  

Enables the character to use Kafra storage.

• Lv 7
  

Enables the character to create a party. - Type '/organize(party name)' in the chat console

• Lv 9
  

Enables the character to change to their 1st Job and Class.

• First Aid
  

- Requirements: Job Lv 4 or higher as Novice
- Quest Skill
- Active

Gives the character the ability to restore 5 HP using 3 SP. This skill can be obtained through a quest .

• Play Dead
  

- Requirements: Job Lv 7 or higher as Novice
- Quest Skill
- Active

Gives the character the ability to pretend to be dead. The monster no longer attacks you after being activated. Useful if you are facing a powerful monster or on the brink of death. This skill cannot be used after changing jobs. This skill can be obtained through a quest .

Super Novice

Note

Once you become a Super Novice,
you cannot change to any other
Job or Class. It is permanent!

An alternative to the 1st Job Class is the Super Novice. You must have Base Lv. 45 and Job Lv. 10 as a Novice to change to a Super Novice. The Super Novice can use almost every skill available to 1st Job characters. Exceptions are the Novice Play Dead skill and the ability to equip Bows and Two-Handed weapons. As a result, Double Strafe and Two-Handed Sword Mastery skills cannot be used. 2nd Class skills are not available to a Super Novice.
