Entering the Mansion

Dining Room (1)

Jill: You'll start off in a large Dining Room with Barry. Jill comes equipped with a Beretta M92FS, Combat Knife, and one First Aid Spray. The Dining Room is a good area to get used to Biohazard's controls and Inventory Screen. Once you're done practicing, run to the other side of the large table, where Barry notices a pool of blood. He sends you to search the area for more clues. Go through the single brown door in the corner (by standing next to it and pressing your Action Button).

Chris: Like Jill, you'll start off in the mansion's Dining Room. Chris only has a Combat Knife and one First Aid Spray in his inventory. The Dining Room is a good area to get used to the controls and Inventory Screen. When you're done practicing, run to other side of the large table and go through the single brown door in the corner (by standing next to it and pressing your Action Button).

Tea Room (1)

Jill: The Tea Room is a small hallway that leads to many other rooms in the mansion, though we're not concerned with them for now. Turn to Jill's left and walk around the corner to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene is over, a zombie will rise from the ground. Quickly turn around and run back to the door. Wait for the zombie to come toward you and then run past it. Investigate the corpse twice for two Beretta Clips and then dodge the zombie one more time to make it back to the Dining Room.

Chris: Do the same as Jill.

Director's Cut (Jill): Do the same as Jill.

Dining Room (2)

Jill: Jill will run up to Barry, who quickly turns around to spot the zombie from the Tea Room. It doesn't get too far, however, as Barry blows its head off with his powerful Colt Python magnum. Standing in shock, the teammates decide that telling Wesker is the best thing to do. Run back to the Dining Room's double doors and go through them to reach the Main Hall.

Chris: Go back to the Main Hall by heading through the Dining Room's double doors on the other side of the table.

Director's Cut (Jill): Do the same as Jill.

Main Hall 1F (1)

Jill: When Jill and Barry reach the Main Hall, they find no trace of Wesker. Barry has Jill help him look for the lost captain. You can either go up the large central staircase and then go back down, or simply go behind the staircase and then report to Barry. Finding no trace of Wesker, Barry and Jill decide to split up to look for him. Before leaving, Barry gives Jill the Lockpick, a handy tool that will be used several times throughout the game. Start off by going up to the small table next to the staircase and picking up the pair of Ink Ribbons off of it. Ink Ribbons allow you to save your game at a typewriter, but each time you do, one Ink Ribbon is depleted. You can save your game in the Main Hall if you'd like. Once you pick up the Ink Ribbons, go through the double blue doors on the east side of the hall.

Chris: Chris finds no trace of the captain or Jill anywhere in the hall. Pick up Jill's Beretta M92FS off of the ground (it's the shining object next to the red carpet). Once you do, go up to the small table next to the staircase and pick up the pair of Ink Ribbons off of it. Ink Ribbons allow you to save your game at a typewriter, but each time you do, one Ink Ribbon is depleted. You can save your game in the Main Hall if you'd like. Go through the double blue doors on the east side of the hall once you pick up the Ink Ribbons.

Director's Cut (Chris): Do the same as Chris, except don't pick up the Ink Ribbons, and walk up the large central staircase once you take the Beretta M92FS.

Small Gallery (1)

Jill: Walk up to the small brown stepladder next to the blue statue. Push the stepladder so that it's behind the blue statue (by being pressed against the stepladder and pushing it in the direction you want it to go with the corresponding directional button). Climb up the stepladder (by being in front of it and pressing your Action Button) and take the 1st Floor Map from the jug that the statue is holding. Once you do, climb back down the stepladder and walk in front of the brown chest that's in front of the red curtains. Push the chest to the left and walk through the entranceway. Turn the corner to see a "corpse" on the ground. This corpse is really a zombie and it's still alive. You'll know if an enemy is alive by seeing if it leaves behind a large blood puddle. If it doesn't, then it's still alive. Always keep this in mind when you're playing Biohazard. You can simply walk around the zombie by hugging (meaning being very close to) the left wall (Jill's right). Grab the pair of Ink Ribbons on the brown shelf nearby and then exit the red room. Once you do, go through the single brown door in the corner (Jill will automatically unlock the door with her Lockpick).

Chris: Do the same as Jill, except once you grab the Ink Ribbons, go back into the Main Hall 1F by going through the double blue doors.

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to Main Hall 2F (1).

Rebirth (Jill): The Small Gallery will be the area of your first knife fight. It's a simple battle though, since you only have to fight two zombies. Just focus on doing upward slashes (by moving the stylus from the bottom of the touchscreen to the top quickly) and the two zombies will be done in no time. Once the knife battle is over, walk up to the small brown stepladder next to the blue statue. Push the stepladder so that it's behind the blue statue (by being pressed against the stepladder and pushing it in the direction you want it to go with the corresponding directional button). Climb up the stepladder (by being in front of it and pressing your Action Button) and take the 1st Floor Map from the jug that the statue is holding. Once you do, climb back down the stepladder and walk in front of the brown chest that's in front of the red curtains. Push the chest to the left and walk through the entranceway. Make sure your Beretta is out and walk up to the zombie that's eating the corpse. Once you do, quickly turn around and run back to the entranceway. Start shooting the zombie from this area until it is dead (aim your gun with the Aim button and shoot with the Action button). Once it is, turn the corner to find a "corpse." This corpse is really a zombie and it's still alive. You'll know if an enemy is alive by seeing if it leaves behind a large blood puddle. If it doesn't, then it's still alive. Always keep this in mind when you're playing Biohazard. You can simply walk around the zombie by hugging (meaning being very close to) the left wall (Jill's right). Grab the pair of Ink Ribbons on the brown shelf nearby and then exit the red room. Once you do, go through the single brown door in the corner (Jill will automatically unlock the door with her Lockpick).

L-Shaped Hallway (1)

Jill: As soon as you enter, turn around and start walking backwards. Once you go past the first window, a Cerberus dog will burst from it! Immediately aim your Beretta and shoot it once. Each time you shoot a Cerberus, it will rest for approximately three seconds and charge at you again. Shoot it while it rests, wait for it to get back up, and then shoot again. Repeat this strategy until it is finally dead. Once it is, turn the corner to face yet another Cerberus. Apply the same tactics you learned to kill off this canine. When it's dead, walk up to brown chest in the second part of the hallway (this chest is darker than all of the other ones) and push it to the right to reveal a hidden Beretta Clip. Take the Clip off of the ground and go through the door that's at the end of the hallway.

Director's Cut (Jill): Take the Green Herb that's to your left side (it's the small green plant in the corner). Then go through the single brown door that's around the corner (the one that's near the brown metal door).

Jill: Run to Jill's left to see a nice Shotgun on a display. Grab the Shotgun off of the display and then exit the room. Not bad, eh?

Director's Cut (Jill): Take a right and run to the very end of the hallway and go through the single door that's on the left.

Terrace (1)

Jill: SKIP to Trap Room (2) / Green Hallway (3).

Chris: Run to the other side of the Terrace, where you'll see a corpse. In front of the corpse is a Beretta Clip, so make sure you grab it. Quickly leave the room as a flock of crows will approach after you pick the Clip up.

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Trap Room (2) / Green Hallway (3).

Director's Cut (Chris): Run to the other side of the Terrace and grab the Beretta Clip in front of the corpse. After you do, examine the corpse, which suddenly comes alive! Quickly turn around and run back to the door. Kill the zombie from here, and after you do, investigate the area where the corpse was to find the Armor Key, a very important key that will unlock many doors in the mansion. Exit the room once you take the Armor Key.

Rebirth (Jill): SKIP to Trap Room (2) / Green Hallway (3).

Rebirth (Chris): Run to the other side of the Terrace and grab the Beretta Clip in front of the corpse, which comes alive as soon as you pick it up! Turn around and run back to the door, where you can easily kill the zombie. Once it's down, exit the room.

Trap Room (2) / Green Hallway (3)

Jill: The ceiling will begin to cave in as soon as you enter...defitenly not good! Both doors lock, so you can't escape. After about five seconds, Barry will come in and save the day. You'll start off in the Green Hallway, and after he leaves, head through the double doors in front of you.

Chris: SKIP to Terrace Hallway (2).

Director's Cut (Jill): Go through the single door that's on the other side of the room.

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to Terrace Hallway (2).

Jill: SKIP to Dark Hallway (1).

Chris: Re-enter the Main Hall 2F by going through the door on the other side of the hallway.

Living Room (2)

Jill: SKIP to Dark Hallway (1).

Director's Cut (Jill): There's three zombies in this room, so gun all of them down with your Beretta as fast as you can (and make sure they're dead by seeing if they leave behind a blood puddle). Once all of them are dead, go to the other side of the Living Room to see a Shotgun on a display. Take the Shotgun and exit the room.

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to Main Hall 2F (2).

Rebirth (Jill): Do the same as Director's Cut (Jill).

Dark Hallway (1)

Jill: Immediately kill the oncoming zombie with your Beretta. Walk forward until the camera angle changes to see another zombie behind a corner. Lure him out and finish him off with your Beretta. Once both zombies are down, go through the single blue door on the right side.

Chris: SKIP to Main Hall 2F (2).

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Trap Room (3) / Green Hallway (4).

Director's Cut (Chris): Enter the single brown door that's to the very left of the right side.

Director's Cut (Jill): When you enter the Trap Room, the ceiling will begin to cave in...defitenly not good. Both doors automatically lock, so there's no escape. Luckily, Barry comes in and saves you. After Barry leaves, you'll start off in the Green Hallway. Go through the set of double doors in front of you.

Right Stairs Hallway (1)

Jill: Gun down the oncoming zombie with your Beretta and turn the corner. Pick up the Green Herb off of the ground and head through the single brown door nearby.

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Dark Hallway (2).

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to C-Shaped Hallway (1).

Rebirth (Jill): SKIP to Dark Hallway (2).

Dining Room 2F (1)

Jill: SKIP to Storage Room (1).

Chris: Immediately kill the zombie to your right with your Beretta. Then run to the left side of the room and go behind the statue. Wait for the zombie to come up to the statue (he'll get stuck) and take out your Combat Knife. Start stabbing the zombie from behind the statue until he is finally dead. Once he is, push the blue statue forward until it is behind the destroyed part of the railing. Then get behind the statue and push it forward so it goes off of the balcony. After you do this, run to the other side of the Dining Room 2F and go through the single brown door in the corner.

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Dark Hallway (2).

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to C-Shaped Hallway (1).

Rebirth (Jill): SKIP to Dark Hallway (2).

Rebirth (Chris): Do the same as Chris (note that there is a crow in the room, so immediately kill the crow with your Beretta once you enter. There is also another zombie that's behind the statue, but you can also get him stuck behind the statue so you can easily stab him with your Combat Knife).

Dark Hallway (2)

Jill: SKIP to Storage Room (1).

Chris: SKIP to Yellow Hallway (1).

Director's Cut (Jill): Quickly gun down the oncoming zombie (this zombie is a Hyper Zombie, which moves twice as fast and is resistant to headshots) with your Beretta. Then kill the zombie that was behind him, and turn the corner up ahead. There's a zombie that's hiding here, so quickly turn around once you spot him. Lure him out into the open and finish him off. Once you do, go through the single blue door.

Storage Room (1)

Jill: Start off by walking up to the large brown box in the corner. This is an Item Box, where you can store items to save inventory space (you can use the Item Box by standing next to it and pressing the Action Button). Drop off your Combat Knife, First Aid Spray, and both Green Herbs (you can also drop off your Ink Ribbons if you don't want to save the game at the nearby typewriter). Take the two Beretta Clips out of the Item Box and combine them with your other Clips to save inventory space. Once you do, pick up the white bag in the corner. This is the Chemical, and we're going to need it for a later quest, so just drop it off in your Item Box. You can save your game at the typewriter in the corner, and if you do, make sure to drop off your Ink Ribbons into the Item Box after you save. Exit the room once you're done with everything.

Chris: Turn the corner to see three zombies. Gun the first one down with your Beretta, and finish off the other two from behind the railing. If they get close, run back to the door and shoot from there. When all of them are dead, go down the staircase that's in the middle of the room.

Director's Cut (Chris): Turn the corner to see a fellow S.T.A.R.S. team member on the ground, who's suffering from a large bite wound. The medic nearby sends you to get Serum at the Medicine Room, located on the other side of the mansion. Chris will automatically exit the room once the cutscene is over.

Rebith (Jill): SKIP to Right Stairs Hallway (2).

Rebirh (Chris): SKIP to Right Stairs Hallway (2).

Right Stairs Hallway (2)

Jill: Simply walk up the large brown staircase that is nearby.

Chris: SKIP to Left Stairs Hallway (1).

Director's Cut (Jill): Gun down the oncoming zombie with your Beretta and turn the corner to spot another zombie. Quickly turn around and run back to the blue door to lure the zombie out. Finish him off and then go around the corner again to pick up the Green Herb that's on the ground. Once you do, go through the single brown door nearby.

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to C-Shaped Hallway (2).

Rebirth (Jill): Do the same as Director's Cut (Jill).

Rebirth (Chris): SKIP to Left Stairs Hallway (1).

Left Stairs Hallway (1)

Jill: SKIP to Brown Hallway (1).

Chris: When you get to the bottom of the stairs, a lone zombie will immediately come toward you. Kill him with your Beretta and then go to the area behind the stairs. A single door is nearby, but it is guarded by a zombie. Finish the zombie off and then go through the door.

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Storage Room (2).

Director's Cut (Chris): SKIP to C-Shaped Hallway (2).

Rebirth (Jill): SKIP to Storage Room (2).

Rebirth (Chris): Instead of dealing with zombies like in the original, you'll have to deal with some rather annoying dogs. As soon as you take control, run to the area behind the stairs, and immediately go through the nearby single door, because a Cerberus will burst from one of the room's windows.

C-Shaped Hallway (2)

Jill: SKIP to Brown Hallway (1).

Chris: SKIP to Medicine Room (1).

Director's Cut (Jill): SKIP to Storage Room (2).

Director's Cut (Chris): Re-enter the Main Hall 2F by taking a left and going through the single door at the end of the hallway.

Brown Hallway (1)

Jill: Start off by walking up the smaller staircase just up ahead. When you get to the top, immediately aim at the zombie that's to Jill's left. Keep shooting him until he's on the ground (not until he's dead, just until he falls down) and run to the left side. Finish off both zombies from this area and then run to the right side of the hallway and turn the corner. Go through the single brown door that's at the very end of the hallway.

Don't bother picking up the Broken Shotgun in the corner because you already have a nice functional one (the Broken Shotgun is only needed for Chris's scenario). You can save your game by using the typewriter in the corner, but make sure you drop off your Ink Ribbons once you do (to save inventory space of course). Exit the room once you're done with everything.

Rebirth (Jill): When you enter, walk up to the large brown box in the corner. This is an Item Box, where you can store any item to save inventory space (you can use the Item Box by standing next to it and pressing the Action Button). Drop off both of your Herbs, the First Aid Spray, and the Ink Ribbons (only if you don't plan saving the game at the nearby typewriter). Take the two Beretta Clips out of the Item Box and combine them with your other Clips to save inventory space. Pick up the white bag in the corner. This is the Chemical, an important item we'll need later for a key, so just stow it in your Item Box for now. Now walk up to the blue chest next to the typewriter in the corner. Every one of these blue chests contain a small marble puzzle, and when solved, the chest will open, revealing an item (most of the time it's ammo). To solve this one, move the top marble with the marble to the right of it first. Second, move the top marble with the marble to the left of it. Finally, move the bottom two marbles to unlock the chest, which contains one Red Herb. When combined with other Herbs, Red Herbs can drastically improve your health, and when mixed with a Green Herb, the mixture can heal you completely. Drop it off in your Item Box (you can combine it with one of the other Green Herbs if you'd like) and then exit the room.

Medicine Room (1)

Jill: SKIP to C-Shaped Hallway (3) on Exploring the Spencer Estate.

Chris: Inside the Medicine Room you'll meet Rebecca Chambers, a fellow S.T.A.R.S. member who is on Bravo Team. Once the cutscene is over, walk up to the large brown box in the left corner. This is an Item Box, where you can store any item to save inventory space (you can use the Item Box by standing next to it and pressing the Action Button). Drop off your Combat Knife, First Aid Spray, Small Key, and your Ink Ribbons (only if you don't plan on saving the game at the nearby typewriter). Take the two Beretta Clips from the Item Box and combine them with your other Clips to save inventory space. Walk up to the bed in the corner and pick up the shining Sword Key. We'll need this to unlock many important rooms in the mansion, so make sure you hold onto it. You can save your game at the typewriter that's on the table, but make sure you drop off your Ink Ribbons once you do. Exit the room once you're done with everything.

Combine all of the Beretta Clips to save some inventory space, and make sure to stow the Shotgun Shells in the Item Box (you won't be needing them for awhile). Walk up to the bed and take the shining Sword Key, which is needed to unlock several mansion doors, so make sure it stays in your inventory. Walk up to the blue chest next to the Item Box. Every one of these blue chests contain a small marble puzzle, and when solved, the chest will open, revealing an item (most of the time it's ammo). To solve this one, first move the marble that's to the right of the first one with the bottom left one. Then move the bottom left one with the top marble, and finally, move the marble that's to the left of the top one with the bottom right one. The blue chest will then open, revealing a box of Shotgun Shells. Go back into your Item Box and drop off these Shotgun Shells. You can save your game at the typewriter on the table, but make sure you drop off your Ink Ribbons into the Item Box once you do. After you're all done, exit the room (make sure you have your Beretta with some Clips and the Sword Key only).
