Super Mario RPG is the first RPG featuring Mario characters. Although the game begins much like any other Mario game - with Mario, Peach and Bowser in a normal retrieve the princess situation - the rest of the game takes big leaps from normality. The game's story revolves around the revival of the star road, made up of by the seven stars; the significance being the stability of the world and protection from the evil Smithy gang (who wishes to disrupt such stability). Even though it's been released on SNES, it's also available to Virtual Console on the Wii, which you can download it today.
