Tempest Rising is classic real-time strategy game with its gameplay based on past RTS titles such as Command & Conquer and StarCraft. Its gameplay loop involves base building, resource collection, and unit production.
Tempest is the primary resource that is harvested for funds. It appears as a reddish plant consisting of luminous pods growing on vines.
There are three playable factions: the Global Defenses Forces, the Tempest Dynasty, and a third unrevealed faction. All three factions are asymmetrical in their playstyles with their own unique unit rosters and methods of production and resource collection.
