This level features some sword fights. Also, you meet up with an important character story-wise, and receive some important magical scrolls. Lastly, you have to ride a barrel, paddling with your staff. In the water duct, you must outrun the Norlac, a water monster. You seemed to be pinned between it and the whirlpool which leads down into the unknown.

You see a Troll torturing a man, walk towards them and fight the troll (although it's possible to avoid him). The man is Dunric, who informs you that Mordamir is behind everything. He asks his ring which you have since Level 1. Give it to him and in return he teaches you some spells, and then he dies. Run towards the exit.

Below is Ulindor who, being Mordamir's servant, turns against you because you alread know too much. Kill him. There are no more fights in the game so your health points don't matter any more. Feel free to sleep in the hay, and then walk down the stairs.

You end up on a floating barrel. The controls are similar to the magic carpet/levitation sequences, only that there is no time limit and no traps below you. Don't paddle too close the whirlpool (for now) as it will pull you in. This part is the "mission" that the goblins told you about. Paddle N and NE until you see the sluice gate, the tentacle monster, and a goblin hanging above. Now you must approach the norlac, and when it starts submerging to hunt you, turn around and paddle like crazy all the way left, back towards the vortex. Part of the trick is to handle the turns well so that you gain distance.

Your aim here is to reach the whirl. You are pulled inside, as well as the norlac.

It seems that if you failed to talk with Dunric earlier, the game won't allow you to end this level; the norlac eats you always when you approach the ladder.
You can try to climb back the ladder to escape, only to see a death sequence.
