START: at the start, you need to obtain the following:
- Sword
- shield
the first thing to do is get into the game, setup your profile, and enter...just skip past the cut-scene, it's nothing you need to worry about. after this, you will need goto the house with the old man in it (just follow the fairy ;) ). he will talk for awhile, after he is done, go outside walking towards the right (towards the bridge), you will be in an earthquake! goto the bridge and talk to the lady. after this, go back to the left, and follow a path to the north. (NOTE: heres the hint from the guy on the left hand side of the start area, there will be a couple of trees at the top-top-left hand of your map..just hit them till you find the one with the 100 rupees [REQUIRED]) you will find monsters, so turn around and talk to the old man again. he will talk. after this, exit the house and go immediatly right (not down the path, but there will be some gap to go right just outside the door). go inside (pickup/throw the barrel) then proceed in. the fairy will say you need to count the palm trees. dont bother, simply tap on the sign, and write '7'. the door opens. goto the chest and BAM! you got a sword..
go outside, and do the training with the old man. afterwards, go up towards the path..kill the monsters, and continue on, collecting as many rupees as possible (you need about 200 later on.) when you come to the town, go straight to the port, and talk to the guy near the port building. goto the milk bar (second biggest building) and talk to the owner. do as he instructs, and go towards the temple (north) (if you have collected 80 rupees already, goto the shop and buy the Shield..this will come in handy, and makes collecting the 100 rupees not as essential.).
Before you reach the temple, check out the trees, roll into the furthest north tree (you should be able to find it, if not..just do them all until you find the right one), and collect the 100 rupees.Italic text
