"Legends say the ancient land of Ys was once prosperous and bountiful. Then, calamity occurred, and Ys faded into memory. It is said its secrets were sealed away in several books, and he who finds these tomes can open a way back to the fabled land of Ys."

The Legacy of Ys is a compilation of Ancient Land of Ys and Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished - The Final Chapter. The graphics, music, gameplay, and story were all updated for this release. This game is a complete remake, instead of a port akin to what can be found on the Wii Virtual Console.
