Gobanz[edit]

Castlevania The Adventure boss Gobanz.png

It's unknown if the giant hulking armor is inhabited by some terrible giant, or if it's merely enchanted, but Gobanz is stationed at the end of the forest to prevent you from proceeding to the caves. He walks incredibly slow, but he is able to strike with lightning speed when wields his hook-equipped whip. Not only can he strike downward at foes on the ground, but he can also send it up at opponents who try to cross above him. Christopher's whip has longer reach the Gobanz, but just barely. It's safer to get out of the way when he strikes than to stand around trying to do an extra point of damage.

When you reach Stage 4, Gobanz joins as a regular stage enemy, although with fewer hit points.

Under Mole[edit]

Under Mole isn't just one boss, but rather a colony of underground dwelling creatures who pop out of various holes in the cave walls. They aren't very durable, but they're incredibly fast. The best way to deal with them is to remove them before they hit the ground where they can leap out of the range of your attack and make life miserable for you, or worse yet: gang up on you. There are a total of 20 Under Moles that you must defeat to clear the stage. One bar of boss life is removed for every two Under Moles you destroy.

Death Bat[edit]

Death Bat is a bit of a were-bat: half man, half bat. He like to fly up to the top of his chamber and swoop down on his victims. Whether he succeeds or misses, he flies back to the top and prepares his next attack. Once he determines which way he is going to swoop down, he doesn't change it, so it's easy to get the better of him by faking where you plan to be before he drops and then switching sides so you can attack him from behind.

Dracula[edit]

Ever the lifetime foe of the Belmonts, Dracula is waiting for you in the final chamber of his castle. He has two forms. At first, he appears in his humanoid form, teleporting from one platform in the room to another, unleashing powerful projectiles at you before vanishing and reappearing somewhere else. If you succeed at striking him down in this form, he returns as a gigantic bat who flies back and forth across the top of the room, stopping occasionally to unleash a trio of bats to attack and distract you. Castlevania will not truly be destroyed until the giant bat is defeated.
