After the opening, Hajime Hinata will be able to observe his surroundings on what appears to be a bright and peaceful island. Examine the monitor on the palm tree and the camera on the shore. Hajime notes that these items feel out of place on a beach, but the boy in front of him doesn't seem too bothered by them. Examine the palm tree and the ocean to prompt the boy to interact with Hajime again. He introduces himself as Nagito Komaeda. You can now exit the beach to search for the rest of Hajime's classmates. You also gain the ability to check on your pet, which grows based on the amount of steps that Hajime takes. Run to the left to find the ranch.
Introductions[edit]
After a strange scene featuring Usami, interact with the short girl in plain view. This is Hiyoko Saionji. Another student, Akane Owari, can be found to the left of the ranch by turning the camera. You will obtain Hope Fragments by simply interacting with them. Afterward, exit the area and continue left to the hotel.
The hotel site is larger than the other areas, but it can be more easily navigated with the help of the map. To the right of the pool is Nekomaru Nidai, and to the left are Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu and Mahiru Koizumi. Enter the hotel lobby to meet Peko Pekoyama and Chiaki Nanami, then use the stairs to enter the hotel restaurant, where you'll see Teruteru Hanamura and Sonia Nevermind. You can now exit the hotel site.
Past the hotel is Rocketpunch Market. Here, Mikan Tsumiki will introduce herself unprompted. After Hajime brings her to tears (not cool, Hajime), he can introduce himself to Ibuki Mioda on the other side of the store. Past the supermarket is the airport, where Kazuichi Soda introduces himself as Hajime inspects the planes. Kazuichi brings Hajime's attention to the school trip guidelines in the e-Handbook, though this does nothing to ease Hajime's suspicions. Interact with the other student here, Gundham Tanaka, before exiting.
Past the beach is a bridge to Central Island. Examine it and walk left until you reach a sign that reads "Jabberwock Park." Enter to meet the final student, Byakuya Togami, who should look familiar, albeit different... An announcement from Usami should follow, after which you can return to the beach.
The announcement[edit]
After the students converse for a bit, you'll regain control. Speak to everyone else to aid in increasing your level before speaking to Byakuya again to advance the plot. After Usami reveals her presents, speak to the students that remain on the beach to trigger a cheery scene. However, as is par for the course in this franchise, the fun doesn't last long. Speak to Hiyoko before exiting the beach. What follows is the entrance of an old foe, and the prologue's conclusion.
