Jack's case[edit]
Jack and Shadow are in their car when Jack gets a call about shootings. Jack takes the case. Jack and Shadow infiltrate a construction site near Chinatown. Jack orders Shadow to attack a construction worker who has a gun. Shadow kills the worker and gives Jack the gun. Jack continues to kill construction workers who want to kill him. Jack ends up using a canister to blow up a bridge with workers on it shooting him. With the bridge down, Jack shoots a gas tank which lowers a crane. Jack gets to the other side by using the crane. He also uses a bulldozer to smash through concrete doors. After shooting more workers, Jack orders Shadow to find a way to lower a ramp so Jack can get up. Shadow goes through pipes and uses a barrel to lower a board so Jack can use it to get the upper level. Jack kills more workers and finds a key to unlock the gate. Jack kills the last of the workers.
The discovery[edit]
After Jack shoots the last man, Shadow starts barking. Eventually, Jack and Shadow find a dead body in the construction site. To Jack's horror, the victim's body is his father, Franklin Slate. Jack orders an ambulance to get the body. Chief Dick Hennessey shows up and tells Jack that they will take care of this. Jack, however, wants to find out who killed his father. Hennessey reminds Jack that his dad had only one rival, Augie Blatz. Jack and Shadow go their way to find Augie and see if he had anything to do with his dad's murder.
