To get it out of the way, this is not like the N64 version starring Pierce Brosnan released in 1997. It's more like updating and refreshing to fit with the Wii, DS, PS3 and Xbox 360 version starring Daniel Craig. Besides the core structure there's a comfortable middleground between nolstalgia and fresh additions. All but M has been recast and even rewrite moments to fit into Daniel Craig's world.

In this Wii, DS, PS3 and Xbox 360 version to avoid confusion, you still have to remember the core basics if you want to survive until the end:

  • You can choose between brute force or stealth. In certain levels, you're task to go through the level and think of a smart way of getting from A to B.
  • The harder the difficulty, the more tough your enemy is, also the more objectives you have to go through. In fact in a nod to N64 version, if you pick 007 Classic, your health doesn't regenerate, forcing you to look for shields and really avoiding gun fights by any means to survive.
  • There's going to be certain key quick time events in which you need to respond in the right way to survive. There's no random motions or button mix.
  • Apart that you can't use Wii Remote on its own, you can play with Wii Remote and Nunchuk for superior aiming. Or if you're still old school, classic controller/pro and gamecube controller is also available.
  • The tank level is iconic to the game. Master the weapons of the tank and also give chase to get through that level.
  • If you have a PS3, you can use the exclusive Move motion controls but if you have an Xbox 360, stick to your controller for that experience.
  • On the DS, you have to navigate through a linear level to complete the objectives.
