Located at the bottom of the main menu, オプション (Option) is the home of the options screen. Here you may adjust how the game operates both in and out of matches.
This toggles the atari warning on and off. While on, a warning will pop up during a match to alert you that your opponent has just placed one or more of your groups into atari (and thus has the potential to capture them).
This option features a "slider" bar that you can use to adjust the volume of sound effects (e.g., stone clicks). Moving the bar to the left will lower the volume while moving to the right will increase it.
Just like the sound effects option there's another bar here that you can use to adjust the volume of the background music. Moving the bar to the left will lower the volume while moving to the right will increase it.
Another ON/OFF toggle, the previous move indicator will display a light cursor around the stone that was most recently played. If it's your turn, the marked stone will be the one your opponent just played. It's especially useful for keeping track of an opponent's move in case you miss it.
This option adjusts the playback speed for recorded games — the higher the speed, the shorter the interval between moves. Moving the bar to the left will decrease the speed while moving it to the right will increase the speed.
This option also deals with recorded games. Here, you may assign the default behavior for loading recorded games.
This allows you to save your settings so that you may easily revert to your preferred settings after they have been changed. You may only save one setup at a time.
This allows you to load a previously saved setup created by the above option.
