Game start[edit]

The game allows 1-4 players, although players will be alternating in turns if multiple players are llowed.

When starting a game, players will need to provide a run speed between 1 and 8. A lower number is faster, and higher numbers are slower. The run speed affects both Jumpman's and enemies' movement speed, but not the bonus timer for completing levels quickly. Unlike the original game, run speed cannot be changed until the game ends.

A run speed of 2 is as fast as most players can handle.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of the game is to collect the bombs, represented by red circles. Each one collected gives 100 points, and when all are collected on a given screen, the player is awarded a bonus based on time and also based on jumpmen remaining (25 per jumpman on first level, increasing by 25 on subsequent levels) before going to the next level.

The player starts with 4 jumpmen, and gains an additional jumpman every 7500 points. The game ends when dying with the lives counter at 1.

Jumpman can move around the level along green ledges, by climbing blue ladders, or using ropes. Jumpman climbs green ropes upwards, and blue ropes downwards. Although he can jump, it needs to finish on a ledge to avoid death.

On death, Jumpman will fall to the ground, bouncing on any ledges. This provides a last chance to collect any bombs, and getting the last one will count as winning the level.

Bullets[edit]

The most common enemy is a bullet that appears from the edge of the screen. When it's aligned horizontally or vertically to Jumpman, it will change direction and accelerate, and should be avoided once it does so.
