MB 2nd Day Intro.png

At the start of this day, you shall have fifteen seconds to choose which event you want to play as the game selects them in the order Monster Drag, Ice Crusher, Hyper Glider; press any button when the one you want is highlighted, and do it quickly or you may end up with one you did not intend to play.

Monster Drag (モンスタードラッグ)[edit]

Before this event, you will be treated to a short cutscene featuring Karl, which explains that you will have to press the first button when your Numan's left arm is charged up to maximum power and the third one when his (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) right arm is charged up to maximum power.

Qualify: 100m00
Record: Y.M, 168m00
Try: 2 times

Once your Numan drops down into view from the top of the screen, the text "PLAYER X 1ST TRY" (X being 1, 2, 3 or 4) will appear on the screen; he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) will then pick up the two ropes attached to the monster in the background and the number "20" will appear above the text "Ready...Go!", as it starts counting down. You must then press the first button when your Numan's left arm is charged to maximum power (as the text "LEFT!!" appears at the bottom of the screen) and drag the monster through the streets by the left rope, then press the third button when his (or her, in Makoto and Sophia's case) right arm is charged to maximum power (as the text of "RIGHT!!" appears at the bottom of the screen) to drag the monster through the streets by the right rope - after two, four, and six correct button pushes in succession, the three texts "NICE", "GOOD!" and "VERY GOOD!!" will appear on the screen. Once the timer has run out, the monster will start breathing fire, as the distance your Numan dragged it flies into view from the right side of the screen; if it was more than 100m00, he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) will once again show off for the crowd. If the distance you dragged the monster was more than 168m00, the text "WORLD RECORD" will appear on the screen, and you will have thirty seconds to enter your initials by pressing the first and third buttons to select the letters then pressing the second button to confirm your choice - and if there is only one player, the game shall return to the day's intro screen and you will have fifteen seconds to choose which of the two remaining events you want to play when the one you want is highlighted, but if not it will proceed to a second, third or fourth Monster Drag event. This guide is going to cover the Hyper Glider next.

Hyper Glider (ハイパーグライダー)[edit]

Before this event, you'll be treated to another short cutscene featuring Johnny, which explains that you will have to hold down the first and third buttons, to build up your Numan's power gauge, as he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) skates down the slope, then press the second button once he (or she, in the cases of Makoto and Sophia) skates up the ramp and into the air to open his (or her, in the cases of Makoto and Sophia) glider and hold down the first and third buttons to keep him (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) in the air as he (or she in the case of Makoto and Sophia) starts to descend towards the ground; this is also the first event where your attempts can be classed as "faults" if you cannot press the second button in time.

Qualify: 500m00
Record: H.H, 600m00
Try: 2 times

Once your Numan has reappeared at the top of a slope, he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) shall yet again show off for the crowd as the text "PLAYER X 1ST TRY" (X again being 1, 2, 3, or 4) appears on the screen; when the text "Ready...Go!" appears on the screen, your Numan will take his (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) position, and jump onto a skateboard as it starts rolling down the slope. You shall then have to hold down the first and third buttons (to build up your Numan's power gauge), then press the second button once he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) skates up the ramp and into the air to open his (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) glider (the game will calculate the percentage of your jump, and if it's 100%, the text of "NICE!" will appear at the bottom of the screen) then hold down those first and third buttons to keep him (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) in the air as he (or she in the cases of Makoto and Sophia) descends towards the ground - and once your Numan has landed, the distance he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) travelled shall fly into view from the screen's right side and he (or she, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) will show off for the crowd for a fifth time if his (or her in the case of Makoto and Sophia) distance was more than 500m00. However, if you cannot press the second button quickly enough, your Numan will fall off the bottom of the screen and land on a Chinese noodle cart, smashing it to pieces as the text "CRASH!" appears on the screen; the text "FAULT!" will then come down into view from the top of the screen, and the attempt is counted as such. If the distance your Numan travelled was more than 600m00, the text "WORLD RECORD" will appear on the screen and you will have thirty seconds to enter your initials by pushing the first and third buttons to select the letters then pressing the second button to confirm your choice - and again, if there is only one player, the game shall return to the day's intro screen, but if not it will proceed to a second, third or fourth Hyper Glider event. It is also worth noting that the airship in the background displays images of Pac-Man (1980), Princess Ki from The Tower of Druaga (1984), Momo Kanda from Wonder Momo (1986), Valkyrie from Valkyrie no Densetsu (1989), Hiromi Tengenji from Burning Force (1989), and Pitt and Patti from Tinkle Pit (1993); there is also a "Prince Paco" (the main protagonist of Marvel Land, 1989) taco store on the ground, which is run by none other than Miyuki Chan from Ordyne (1988).

Ice Crusher (アイスクラッシャー)[edit]

Before this event, you will be treated to a third short cutscene, featuring Johnny, which explains that you will have to alternate pressing the first and third buttons to make your Numan run to the right, then press the second button to make him (or her, in the case of Makoto and Sophia) jump-kick the blocks of ice and shatter them; if your Numan runs into a block of ice, he (or she, if Makoto or Sophia) will be temporarily stunned as the text "BONK!" appears.

Qualify: 21 pcs
Record: S.M, 27 pcs
Try: 1 time

Once your (and the second player's, or that randomly-generated CPU-controlled if there is only one or three players) Numan appear on the screen, they will show off for the crowd for a sixth time as the arrows with the texts of "1P" and "2P" (or "CPU") on them fly into view from the right side of the screen; they will then walk forward towards the starting line, as the camera pans to the right and they take their positions. Once the number 25 has appeared on the screen above the text "Ready...Go!", it'll start counting down and you shall have to alternate pressing the first and third buttons to make your Numan start running to the right - and you'll have to press the second button as he (or she in the case of Makoto and Sophia) comes to a block of ice in order to jump-kick it and shatter it (however, if your Numan crashes into a block, the text "BONK!" will appear on the screen, as he, or she in the case of Makoto and Sophia, is temporarily stunned). After every two smashings in succession, the text "NICE!" will appear on the screen, and both Numans' scores will always be displayed on the right side of the screen; once the timer has run out, they'll show off for the crowd for a seventh time if your score was higher than 21. In the event of a draw, the English, Katakana, Kanji text NICE! Atakku-sū (NICE! アタック数) will appear on the screen with the number of times both players (or the CPU, if there's only one or three players) caused the text "NICE!" to appear on the screen below it and the Kanji text Sōkō kyori (走行距離) with the distance both Numans travelled below it - the one who caused the text "NICE!" to appear on the screen the most times, or travelled the furthest distance, shall get declared the winner. If your score was higher than 27, the text "WORLD RECORD" will appear on the screen and you'll have thirty seconds to enter your initials, by pressing the first and third buttons to select the letters, then pressing the second button to confirm your choice; if there's only one or two players, the game will proceed to the third day after all three events are over, but if there are three or four players, the game will proceed to a second Ice Crusher event before doing so. If you failed some of the events on this day, you can't play some of the events on the next day.
