For its fifth mission, Metal Hawk will start out directly over the big rock in the bottom-right corner of the area; once the area theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (which is not identical to that for H-3, E-4, and K-5, or B-6), that familiar arrow will appear in the centre of the screen and point you towards that bigger rock above it on the right side, while a Japanese speech sample is heard from the C140. Push the lever up to descend to 250 metres as you come up to two Type 2 Cannons and a Type 3 Cannon that are firing anti-aircraft missiles up at you (which you can drop a missile of your own on for 10 points apiece) along with a medium-sized building and a big gas tank (which you can also drop a missile on for 20 and 30 points respectively); so once you have dropped a missile on each of these to kill or destroy them, a Red Heli will come flying towards you which can be shot for 10 more points. Once you have fired a shot at it to kill it the arrow will reappear in the centre of the screen and point you towards the clearing at the top of the area, as a Japanese speech sample is again heard from that C140 and five more Red Heli come flying towards you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you'll come to six Tanks that are driving around while firing anti-aircraft missiles up at you (which you can drop one of your own missiles on, for 30 points apiece). Once you have dropped a missile on each of these to kill them, the arrow will reappear in the centre of the screen again and point you towards the second clearing on the left side of the area, as a Japanese speech sample is once again heard from the C140 and five more Red Heli come flying towards you; once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you'll come to six more Tanks that are driving around while firing more anti-aircraft missiles up at you. Once you have dropped a missile on each of them to kill them, the arrow will reappear in the centre of the screen once again and point you towards the third clearing in the top-right corner of the area as a Japanese speech sample is yet again heard from that C140 and five more Red Heli come flying towards you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you'll come to six more Tanks that are driving around, while firing more anti-aircraft missiles up at you. Once you've scored 750 points, the "stage clear" theme will be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 for a fifth time, as Metal Hawk flies back up to its highest altitude of 400 metres and off the top of the screen; you'll then receive 10 bonus points, for every second you have remaining, and the highest military ranking you can attain from this point onwards is that of a Marshal. Metal Hawk will now proceed to Area D-9: Attack the Airbase - where you can make the "GP" indicator roll over to 0.
