Metro 2033 is an action-oriented video game developed by 4A Games for the Xbox 360 and Windows. It has a combination of survival horror and first-person shooter gameplay, and is based on the popular Eastern European cult novel Metro 2033 from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky.
The game's success led to a sequel, Metro: Last Light, which will be released in 2012.
