Basics[edit]

Drifting is another familiar event from previous games. The point of drift is to make your way around the track drifting and sliding to gain points. The driver with the most points after three heats wins. The physics of Drift in NFS: Prostreet are very different from its predecessors.

The player's car must be a RWD car, or else it will not be able to participate in Drift events. In order to drift, the player must either apply the hand-brakes to the car or perform a clutch kick. Although it is possible to drift without doing either of the two methods, it will be easier to perform a better drift with them.

Set ups[edit]

A good drift car is the Mazda RX-7 or Camaro SS. Once you have unlocked it, buy it and use it. Use a little higher pressure in the back tires to break it loose and tighten up your handbrake, but don't use it too much because it will stop you in mid drift.Try to never use your brakes, as it slows you down and gives you less points. Try to hit the nitrous at the biggest turn, as speed gives you more points. Focus on upgrading your power and nitrous.
