A gold coin is a lucky find, as it's worth 50 gold, five times more than a silver coin. Grab them before they disappear.
Cherry

Cherry
A cherry will restore one full bar of your vitality meter. They drop infrequently, so don't count on finding them when you really need one. Carry medicine to be safe.
Hourglass
Hourglass
Hourglass
An hourglass is a magical item which, if collected, will freeze all of the enemies on a single screen. It doesn't last forever, and it only works on the screen it was collected on, but use it to safely defeat any remaining enemies.

Usable items[edit]

Boom Bomb
Boom Bomb
Boom Bomb
Each bomb that you collect (or purchase) adds four to the number of bombs you currently carry. You may not exceed your maximum count, which starts at 8, but can be increased if you find the right people. Use bombs to break holes in walls, indoors and outdoors.
Fire Rod
Fire Rod
Fire Rod
The fire rod is a very useful item, at times more useful than your sword. It can fire flames which can be used to attack your enemies. As you grow more powerful, so too does the rod, but it only reflects the amount of strength that you currently have in your vitality meter.
Wings of Return
Wings of Return
Wings of Return
Wings are sometimes dropped by defeated monsters. You can only hold one at a time. When you use them, you are instantly returned to the last location where you received a password or saved your game. Can be used from within labyrinths as well.
Magic Ring
Magic Ring
Magic Ring
The Magic Ring is another item dropped by monsters, although you can also purchase them. You can only hold one at a time. When used, it transforms any strong enemies present on the screen into weaker enemies that are easier to defeat. Does not work against labyrinth bosses.
Moonbeam Moss
Moonbeam Moss
Moonbeam Moss
Some rooms inside labyrinths, and even a few locations outside, can be quite dark and difficult to see in. The Moonbeam Moss is a bio-luminescent plant that can light your way for several screens. You can use it as many times as you like, but the effect will wear off until you use it again.
Bell of the Sky
Bell of the Sky
Bell of the Sky
The bell is an item that you won't obtain until very late in your quest. It has the power to unlock exits and reveal pathways. It is the key to finding one of the most powerful items in the game.

Medicine of Vitality is an elixir that, when consumed, restores all of your lost health. They can be purchased, and a few can be found in chests for free. You can hold onto two doses of this precious medicine. When you only hold one dose, it looks green, but if you hold two doses, it turns red. Drinking a red dose will turn it green again.

Automatic items[edit]

Crystal Ball
Crystal Ball
Crystal Ball
The Crystal Ball is an item that reveals the layout of the labyrinth you're currently in. It won't always reveal 100% of the rooms, but it gives you a good idea of how it is arranged. You can only hold one Crystal Ball per labyrinth at a time.
Labyrinth Key
Labyrinth Key
Labyrinth Key
Each labyrinth is guarded by a fearsome boss monster. Access to that boss monster is locked behind a large door. The only way to unlock the door is to find the Key hidden somewhere in each labyrinth. Until you do, the boss will remain out of reach.
Book of Revival
Book of Revival
Book of Revival
In order to obtain a password or save your game, you must first obtain the Book of Revival. It's not hard to obtain, so you're certain not to miss it, but if you don't collect it, you won't be able to continue after you die or turn the game off.
Rainbow Drop
Rainbow Drop
Rainbow Drop
As you progress in the game, you will encounter rooms in labyrinths and areas outside where a short bridge would come in handy to help you reach new areas. The Rainbow Drop provides just that: a means to travel across short gaps. You'll need it to proceed on your adventure.
Falcon Boots
Falcon Boots
Falcon Boots
A tricky item to find, the Falcon Boots aren't required to complete the game, but they are rather handy. They speed Jazeta up a little bit, making it easier for him to dodge attacks and zip around each sphere. Pay attention to clues about the location of these boots.

Equipment[edit]

In the beginning of the game, you are outfitted with the most basic sword, armor and shield. The sword isn't very strong against the more powerful enemies that you will encounter, and the armor and shield won't absorb much damage. As you investigate each sphere, you should look for upgraded equipment that will make you stronger. Each new piece of equipment is a two-fold increase in strength from the previous piece. Most equipment upgrades can be found in labyrinths, but a few are found outdoors in well concealed locations.
