Every character can carry 1 item with them into battle. These items are expendable and will disappear after they are used. Items can be used on the character using them or a nearby ally. Using an item counts as that character's turn.
Unlike most RPG tactics games, Onimusha Tactics has no stores where the player can buy and sell their items. The only way to gain items is to receive them from fallen enemies or by making them.
