Controls[edit]

  • D-Pad: Use the D-Pad to move the pieces left, right, and down, for up to 28 extra points in the case of the last; pushing it up has no effect, except for when you are selecting the mode at the start, the difficulty in Normal Mode, and the speed in Versus Mode on the SNES and Sega Genesis versions.
  • B Button: Use this button to rotate the pieces in an anticlockwise direction; as in Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, it is not possible for you to rotate them in a clockwise direction. In Puzzle Mode, it is also possible to use the L, R, or X Buttons (in the SNES version), to make Pac-Man face to the left or right - and in the Sega Genesis version, this is replicated by the C Button, while in the Game Boy and Game Gear versions it is replicated by the A Button.

Characters[edit]

Gold Bricks[edit]

Pac-Attack Gold Brick.gif Taking on the role of the Containers from Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, these metallic blocks will disappear once you have filled a line of six of them.

Blinky Clones[edit]

Pac-Attack Blinky Clone.gif Taking on the role of the Jammers from Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, these clones of the leader of the ghost gang must be eliminated with Pac-Man, when he appears; if you accidentally cover one, you shouldn't give up, because if you avoid piling on more Gold Bricks you might still be able to get him.

Sue Clones[edit]

Pac-Attack Sue Clone.gif Taking on the role of the Pipopapo-Tai, from Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, these clones of the only female member of the ghost gang only appear in Versus Mode on the SNES and Sega Genesis versions; when the second player eliminates a lot of them at once, not only will he receive a large bonus, but it will also cause a group of them to fall down on the first player's side of the screen (and, if that first player should eliminate a lot of Blinky Clones at once, it will cause a group of them to fall down on that second player's side of the screen). Once either player has won three games, the match will end.

Pac-Man[edit]

Pac-Attack Pac-Man.gif Taking on the role of the Balls, from Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, you should note which direction Namco's signature character is facing as he falls down from the top of the screen, for he will move in that direction when he drops; as he goes, he will eat any Blinky (or Sue) Clones he runs into, on his way down to the bottom of the screen. If you chose to start the game on "Normal", "Hard" or "Hyper" level, the "Fairy Meter" will fill every time he eats a Blinky (or Sue) Clone - and once it is completely filled, a Fairy (Pac-Attack Fairy.gif) taking on the role of Stars from Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle, will fall down from the top of the screen and cast a spell to eliminate seven rows of Blinky (or Sue) Clones when she lands. Now it's time to move onto the game walkthrough.
