Energy plates[edit]

Energy plates are the round objects which you must successfully collect in order to clear a stage and open the exits which allow you to advance to the next stage. They come in a variety of colors, and each color is worth a particular amount of points.

Color White Orange Cyan Green Red Blue Violet Yellow
Value 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120

Metal Plates require multiple passes to clear. Every 8 rounds the number of passes increases by 1.

  • Round 1 to Round 8: 2 times
  • Round 9 to Round 16: 3 times
  • Round 17 to Round 24: 4 times
  • Round 25 to Round 32: 5 times

The points awarded for Metal Plates are calculated by the round number x 50. So in the 10th round these will be 500 points. Since Metal Plates have the highest points, to get a high score the player should choose mazes with plenty of this type of plate.

Power-ups[edit]

Power-up Description
Raimais item slow.png Slow: Upon collecting this item, the top speed of all the enemies on the screen is reduced and they slow down. They can, however, return to their maximum speed over time, so the effect of this is only temporary.
Raimais item lasers.png Lasers: Equips The Organizer with lasers which you fire by pressing the item button. You can hold the button down for automatic firing. You can collect more than once to increase your rate of fire (maximum 4). This ability is kept after losing a life, but it is not carried over to the next maze.
Raimais item break.png Break: Allows you to escape prior to actually clearing the maze. Upon collecting this item, exits will open on just one of the four sides of the labyrinth. The side that opens is chosen at random. If you wish to escape in a different direction, you must first clear the labyrinth as usual.
Raimais item armor.png Armor: This item surrounds The Organizer in a force field. For each armor tile that you collect, the force field will be capable of sustaining one collision without causing any harm to The Organizer. The shields start out red, and get increasingly light until they are white, with each armor tile that you apply.
Raimais item clear.png Clear: Touching this tile will sweep through the labyrinth and remove every normal energy plate present. It will also weaken every metallic energy plate as if you drove over them once. Be careful collecting this; if you are trying to find an Other Route tile, this can ruin your chances.
Raimais item player.png Player: Collect this tile to receive one extra life.
Raimais item other.png Other Route: By finding this tile, you will discover a hatch directly beneath the location of the tile. After a few moments, the hatch will open, and you will be able to drive through it, taking you to "Reverse Round" (see Walkthrough) where you must fight a gigantic mechanical insect. Successfully defeating the insect will grant you a special item.
Raimais item rainbow.png Rainbow: The effects of collecting this tile are chosen at random. They are typically an enhanced version of a normal tile, such as maximum shields, maximum lasers, or clearing the entire labyrinth including every metallic energy plate.

Special power-ups[edit]

By successfully locating the Other Route tile and traveling to a "Reverse Round," you are presented with a battle against a giant mechanical insect. If you successfully defeat the insect, you are rewarded with a rare power-up. In the international version, you simply possess the power-up when the next stage begins.

However, in the Japanese version where the full story is explained, you meet a character named Gum Can after each insect battle. Gum Can is a mysterious alien-looking creature with a lot of information (presented in Japanese). During early encounters, he will introduce himself and explain the story of the game to the player. Thereafter, he will provide the player with hints and sometimes give a rare power-up. If the player is given a power-up, it can be used with the item button.

Possible power-ups include:

  • Hyper Armour: A shield that can endure 8 hits.
  • Time Stopper: Stops enemy movement for a limited amount of time.
  • Invincibility: Invincibility to enemies for a certain amount of time.
  • Warp: Warp to a specific round.
  • Maximum Speed: Grants maximum speed (Only found in the version of Round 17 to the right).
  • Mirror of Light: An item that is vital to success in the Final Round (Only found in the version of Round 23 on the bottom). Has no use in the international version.
