Controls[edit]
- Left Joystick: Use the left 8-way joystick to direct the blue contestant (or the red contestant if you are player 2) around each room to avoid enemies.
- Right Joystick: Use the right 8-way joystick to make the blue contestant (or the red contestant if you are player 2) fire shots to destroy the enemies.
- 1 or 2 Player Buttons: Push these buttons to begin the game as player 1 or player 2; for a two-player game both players must press them together.
Characters[edit]
Contestants[edit]
The protagonists of the game; Player 1 controls the blue-helmeted "Contestant 1" shown to the left, while Player 2 controls the red-helmeted "Contestant 2" shown to the right. Both players must use their left joysticks to direct the contestants around each room to avoid enemies and collect cash (which comes in the form of bill bundles, silver bars and gold bars) and prizes (which can be either brand-new toasters, brand-new VCRs or sleek 1999 roadsters) - and they must also use their right joysticks to fire shots from their weapons at the enemies and kill them. When either contestant collects a powerup for increased firepower, the six-sectioned red meter below their score shall change colour to green; as he is firing shots at the enemies with his new weapon, each section will change back to red (indicating that a sixth of its ammunition has been depleted), until he returns to his default weapon. Once all enemies in one room have been killed, the contestants must proceed to the next room (sometimes, they will have a choice of two) - and they will lose a life whenever they are hit by an enemy, or anything fired at them by one.
Note: For the second arena, the prizes can either be magnificent 2600" televisions (which do not really exist), top quality luggage or luxurious vacations, and for the third and final one, they can either be copies of the show's exciting home game, fabulous riding mowers or a year's supply of meat products.
