Playing the game[edit]

The first two missions within the Single Player campaign provide a good tutorial on playing the game. They will give instructions to build the base and the basic resource gathering.

To start the campaign, open the Single Player menu, and click on the portrait of Picard. While you can start the other campaigns immediately, it is recommended to complete them in order in order to learn the interface and gameplay mechanics.

In general, Armada plays similarly to other RTS games.

Compatability[edit]

Star Trek: Armada is only partially compatible with modern operating systems. As such, you will need to note the following:

  • Star Trek: Armada should be run in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode.
  • If you experience sounds or music skipping, you need to set the sound acceleration to Basic. This is done through the control panel of your operating system.
  • Windows Vista x64 may cause the program to stop because of Data Execution Prevention.
  • Sometimes, the game stops on cutscenes and will not proceed. As such, you need to save the game before objectives appear to be accompished.
