These are the standard options that are available to play in this game.
Grudge Match[edit]
This is like your normal standard match. Other than setting up the game, you can have a rematch and also play with other players than just computers.
Cup Battles[edit]
To unlock a robot team and a few extra stadiums, you have to earn the highest amount of points to win this league tournament. You can set up the game so you won't get disadvantages like having power-ups and having Bowser interrupting the game at random.
Difficulty[edit]
If you are new to this game, you should start with Novice, but if you are in for the challenge, you should choose Legend and it will be a pain! This is the order from easy to hard: Novice, Professional, Superstar, Legend.
Custom Battles[edit]
This mode allows you to setup the tournament the way you want it. The tournament types are league table or knockout. If you're not ready to take on the tournament, this will give you the idea that you need when playing the "Cup Battles".
Strikers 101[edit]
Beginners who doesn't understand the button layout would choose this mode. You can practice for an unlimited time and if you're tired, you can look at the clips to see what these buttons do. For more information, see the Controls page.
