The theme of the very first stage is a candy-covered wonderland. This is the only stage where you get to control Bugutte, and thus the only stage where you get to take advantage of her flying abilities. No portion of the stage is out of your reach. The theme music that you hear in the background is a rendition of the opening theme which is played in the anime upon which the game is based.

Bugutte is just a little safe in the air than on the ground, so stick to the air unless you need to collect an egg or another item. Shoot at the candy lollipops to reveal items. While it is tempting to power up Bugutte's projectile, it might not actually be to your advantage to power it all the way up to flames, as the arc of the original weapon is helpful for finding hidden eggs.

You will have to investigate inside of a couple of buildings. When you arrive on the other side, you will quickly encounter a Dragon Kit enemy. Be prepared to fly up and attack it from a safe distance. Than locate the egg hidden inside before returning to the main stage.

There is no boss on this stage. When you manage to collect all eight correct letters of the password, the doors of the final building will unlock, and you will be allowed to enter. Once you do, you will find Takahashi trapped inside of a cage. Bugutte will free Takahashi, and you will control him for the remainder of the game.
