You start with these mission choices:

1. Defense of Grissiom against Russia
2. Conquest of Portugal "Europe"

Usually you will take the path to Europe through Russia, or you can take the euro route through Europe. Eventually you'll end up at the Fort Levseki Army base in Russia. Also USA is most balanced after round 20 when stuff gets super hard on normal, because the AI gets smart with those supports and your units will get air striked a lot.
