Willow is traveling without Elora Danan, therefore Sorsha lacks any reason to arrest him. The Nelwyn hero gets straight to the canyon maze on his way towards Tir Asleen.

The developers of the game did their best to render the idea of a real-world canyon eroded by a river. Nevertheless, according to later but official material, the canyon maze was created by Bavmorda's magic around Tir Asleen.

Down to the river[edit]

Willow comes from the west, and will leave this area following the river at the bottom.

In order to leave this first part of the canyon maze, Willow needs the spell found in the chest to the north-nort-west. The shack allows to rest and learn a spell. Two more chests contain a stronger healing spell and a new shield.

The "sandtraps" along the river are indestructible. If Willow turns into a blob using the aforementioned spell, the sandtraps will ignore him.

Up towards Tir Asleen[edit]

River cave[edit]

Willow comes in from the west, and will leave from the east.

Almost featureless, except for an old man.

Hairpin turns[edit]

Willow arrives from the north-west, and will leave to the east.

(Also known as "switchbacks" in American-English)

In this area up is South! The river (north) is at the bottom of the canyon, and the edge is south-east.

The two cave entrances lead to the same bridge cave, below.

Bridge cave[edit]

Willow can come in from either entrance.

Willow needs a way to cross the accursed bridge. Revisit the two caves and the area between them.
