Eggerland Mystery uses an image based password system. Passwords are awarded at the completion of the bonus stages following each set of five stages in the game.
If the player successfully eliminates all enemies in the bonus level he is also awarded with one character of the 10-character special word. The special word is required to unlock Stages 101-105. The special word can only be entered after the completion of level 100, if it is entered incorrectly the player will have to beat level 100 again to have a second chance to enter the word correctly.
