Melon, your enthusiasm is appreciated, and I don't mean to bring your spirits down at all, but you simply don't have enough experience at this point to be an administrator. You are more than welcome to welcome new users, it saves us the trouble of having to do it. Just to make sure that you're doing it correctly, all you have to do is type <nowiki>{{subst:welcome}}</nowiki> and save the page, and everything will appear as it should. Thank yous are probably best left to sysops unless you feel there is an overwhelming need to recognize someone who is being overlooked.
