:::::Well, the Pokemon are roughly the same (even though there are some unique Pokemon in the grass found only in platinum), the gym leaders are the same (even though their order is different), I'm not sure if the leaders' Pokemon are different. The engine and main plot are roughly the same, but that's about it. --DorTheGamer 09:29, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

::::::I'm not far in Platinum at all, but have heard from a friend that all of the standard puzzles at the beginning of each gym are also very different. If any obtained attacks are different that should be covered in bulbapedia so we should not have to worry about that detail at least.--Zaiqukaj 09:58, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

:The footer nav's can be modified so that they have a D/P next/prev link and a platinum next/prev link (example).  Different pokemon available in grassy areas is already demonstrated in the red/blue guide, and can be used for gym leaders as well.  How complex are the intro puzzles? -- Prod (Talk) 19:12, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
