Don't bother spawning as a Heavy Trooper just to destroy the Tank Droids; your allies will focus their fire on them anyway. You need to make sure that a minimum enemy units make it onto the beach. If you see any enemy unit capturing the command post, jump out of your tank (if you're on one) and dash to the point to stop the capture.
