Power-ups are scattered around each district, and they can also be received by crushing vehicles. Health and Armor can respawn during play, but other power-ups won't until you quit and resume saved status.

Power-up Description
Health
Restored to maximum Health.
Armor
10 extra Health against firearms. Armor doesn't protect against drowning, electrocution, explosives, falling, fists, flames or vehicles. This is lost if you're wasted, and it isn't saved.
Get Outta Jail Free Card
Keep bonus multiplier and weapons after being busted by cops once. This is kept if you're wasted, but it isn't saved.
Cop Bribe
Wanted level cleared.
Life 1
Gain 1 life. This is saved.
Multiplier 1
Increases bonus multiplier. This is saved.
Respect!
Gain 1 Respect with a gang if in its territory. This is saved.
Instant Gang
In multiplayer, gain maximum four bodyguards with (Dual) Pistols.

The following power-ups have a time limit, and aren't saved:

Power-up Description
Double Damage
Doubles damage of firearms, but not an ElectroGun, explosives or a Flamethrower. It lasts 60 seconds.
ElectroFingers
Shocks and eventually kills anyone who comes in close contact: it's best used by punching out your targets and then standing over them until killed. It lasts 70 seconds.
Fast Reload
Reload twice as fast, so you can fire twice as fast. It lasts 60 seconds.
Invisibility
As a pedestrian, you become invisible to gang members and law enforcement (including the military), but as a driver you remain or become visible. It lasts 60 seconds.
Invulnerability*
As a pedestrian, you become invulnerable to explosives, fists, firearms, flames and vehicles, but remain vulnerable to drowning, electrocution and falling. However, as a driver you remain or become vulnerable. It lasts just 40 seconds.
