Imperishable Night (東方永夜抄 Touhou Eiyashou?, Eastern Eternal Night Vignette) is a vertical-scrolling shooter and the eighth official installment of the Touhou series.
The Harvest Moon Festival is approaching and the youkai of Gensoukyou sense that something is wrong with the moon. It seems the moon has been replaced with a decoy. Humans and youkai unite to restore the real moon, slowing time to resolve this incident before the night ends.
In this game, you can play as four different duos:
- The Illusionary Barrier Team, composed of Reimu Hakurei and Yukari Yakumo.
- The Aria of Forbidden Magic Team, composed of Marisa Kirisame and Alice Margatroid.
- The Visionary Scarlet Devil Team, composed of Sakuya Izayoi and Remilia Scarlet.
- The Netherworld Dwellers Team, composed of Youmu Konpaku and Yuyuko Saigyouji.
