== Holidays and events ==
Holidays such as Christmas, Halloween and Valentines Day are not present in Animal Crossing: Wild world. However, there are plenty of '''events''' to keep you busy through the year. A huge part of Animal Crossing's uniqueness is the function that allows certain events to happen at certain days or weeks in the year. The year calendar is a loop, so 2006's year is the same as 2007's.

It is a good idea to prepare for the Flea Market by removing items you wish to keep and replacing them with items you’d like to sell. It is best to do this the day before the market. Depending on your friendship with a certain animal they may pay up to 3 times what Nook pays for an item. If done properly this can make you a lot of money. Remember that when animals receive new items for their house the sometimes put the old stuff into the recycle bin. It’s a good idea to check this throughout the day.

The '''Acorn Festival''' is a week long event where you can get items of the rare Mush furniture set. Each day during the festival you will find acorns lying beneath non-fruit bearing trees. You will also notice a stranger in front of the town hall. He goes by the name ‘Cornimer’. He is in fact the mayor disguised in an acorn mask. In order to receive items from the Mush set you need to collect the acorns and give them to Cornimer.
Cornimer will also give you a Fortune each day.

===Flea Market===
When: 1st Saturday in November
Duration: 6am til 6am the next day
Mayor: No
Gift: None
The flea market is a great way to get your hands on new and cheap items. When you visit an animal’s house they will welcome you to their shop. You should be able to buy any item you want however some animals before very attached to their items and won’t sell them at all.
Animals will also come to visit your house and will want to buy some of your items. They will stay in your main room and will not enter any other rooms.

Each animal will only visit once and animals that are sick or are packed up will not participate.

===La-Di-Day===
When: 2nd Saturday in November
Duration: 6am until 6am the next day
