Lord Xantam asks what happened to Karne. All they know are rumors, but Karne believes you are responsible for this damage to the guild. He retells the story of your assault to his lord, but Xantam orders him to defend more aggressively. You finally get to see what Lord Xantam looks like, a giant purple Beholder(!), and that he is willing to kill his officers if they fail him.
