Cool Spot is a platform game that was released by Virgin Interactive for the Sega Genesis, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear and Commodore Amiga in 1993, and for the MS-DOS and Nintendo Game Boy in 1994; it stars the 7UP mascot of the same name, who the player has got to take control of as he embarks on a mission to save his eleven imprisoned friends. By default, Spot has to collect sixty of the "Cool Points" that are scattered round each level, before trying to find the cages in which his friends are imprisoned - but, by collecting eighty-five of them, he will proceed to one of six bonus levels (which are set in giant 7UP bottles) after clearing the usual ones, where he will have the chance to collect bonus letters that spell UNCOLA for continues (for the EU versions, the references to 7UP were removed, so the energy-restoring beakers of it became ones of Virgin Cola, and the bonus letters to get collected for continues were also changed to spell out VIRGIN).
