About Counter Strike

Counter Strike a very popular First Person Shooter. The game is an expansion to the game Half-Life. The original Counter Strike was a total conversion mod made by a team of fans. That team was bought by Valve to make the game an official release. Since then, a stand alone Counter Strike: Condition Zero has been released. Also, in 2004, Counter-Strike: Source was made available to those who pre-ordered Half-Life 2 via Steam. Ports of Counter Strike have showed up on the Xbox. Now, with 3 versions of the game (On the PC), Counter Strike has become one of the largest online games ever.

Strategies

- Using Flash Grenades -

First these granades are cheap insurance but only use them when not in a group of teammates. Bounce them off walls so that you won't get hit by the flash also.

- Teamwork - Use teamwork. When someone says to "rush" a certain area, follow them. Most rushes work best when players do not stop, but run out and take as many of the enemy with them. However, many players prefer to hang back a little and let new people and/or experienced players to take care of large groups of enemies.

Map Strategies

Terrorist

The best strategy for terrorists (in pub servers) on this map is to split into two or three groups. One follow the bomb (the person holding the bomb) to the right, as if going to plant at bombsite B. Go through the double doors before the hallway to B and kill any counter terrorists who get in the way of the bomb. Plant in view of the roof so the second group can protect it - on the target is one of the best spots - and protect.

The second group goes onto the roof area by either going left and up the stairs, then rushing onto the roof, or by jumping from a ledge by the terrorist spawn area to the window and rushing out onto the roof. The latter is faster, but the former is safer. Make sure you get the roof and protect it, because it gives the greatest leverage when planting at bombsite A. Be careful of counter terrorists (CT's) who might sneak up behind you on the roof.

Terrorist

Quickly go to Bomb Site A and hide just behind the wooden gate. In some time, the CT's (Counter-Terrorists) will come by and with a good gun, as they unwaringly pass by, you simply take them out.
