Dangerous Seed/Stage 2

NEXT TARGET IS STRIKE-ANTS.

Once the screen has faded back in, a Purple Sasori will fly down towards you on the right side of the screen, while firing two boomerangs at you (which can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece); once you have fired enough shots at him to defeat him, he will explode as three Ka come flying towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of these, to kill them, you will come to three Hotaru and three Gama Kaeru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, four more Ka shall come flying towards you from the right side of the screen as you come to six more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of these, to kill them, you will come to a green (or blue if Alpha Ship has been destroyed or red if both Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed) Turtle upon the right side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at it to destroy it it will leave a Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile if Alpha Ship has been destroyed or Hyper-Bomb if both Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed) behind. Once you collect the Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile, or Hyper-Bomb), four more Ka will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen as you come to a fourth Gama Kaeru and four more Hotaru, which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right and left sides of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, fifteen Pinseto will come flying towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you shall come to three more Gama Kaeru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a Red Sasori will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen while firing two boomerangs at you (which, like those that were fired at you by the Purple Sasori, can be blocked by your own shots, for 50 extra points apiece). Once you have fired enough shots at him to defeat him, he will explode, and you will come to seven more Gama Kaeru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions in the centre of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, you will come to another green (or blue if Alpha Ship has been destroyed, or red if both Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed) Turtle on the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at it, to destroy it, it will leave a Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile if Alpha Ship has been destroyed, or Hyper-Bomb if both Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed, or Special-Bonus if you have the maximum of four special weapons in storage), behind for you; once you have collected the Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile, or Hyper-Bomb, or Special-Bonus), twenty-five Purple Tako will come zigzagging towards you, from the left side of screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to six more Hotaru and two more Gama Kaeru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions in the centre of the screen - and once you fire off a shot at all of them to kill them, five Kabuto shall come down from top of the screen and fire two shots from their arms at you (which, like the boomerangs fired at you by the Purple and Red Sasori, can be blocked by your own shots, for 50 extra points apiece); once you've fired enough shots at each of these to defeat them, they will explode and you will come to five more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them you will come to a yellow Turtle on the right side of the screen - and once you've fired a shot at it to destroy it, it'll leave an Energy-Capsule behind. Once you've collected it you shall come to five Tarantulas which are firing projectiles at you from their positions in the centre of the screen; once you've fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, you will come to nine more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at all of these, to kill them, you will come to two more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the left side of the screen, as six more Ka come flying towards you from the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, you will come to six more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, another Purple Sasori will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen, while firing two boomerangs at you (which can once again be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece) at you; once you've fired enough shots at him to defeat him, he'll explode, and a third Purple Sasori will come flying towards you on the left side of the screen while firing two boomerangs at you (which, yet again, can be destroyed by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece). Once you have fired enough shots at him to defeat him he shall explode and you will come to three more Gama Kaeru and two more Hotaru which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right and left sides of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them twenty-five more Purple Tako shall come zigzagging towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them you will come to two more Gama Kaeru, which are firing projectiles at you, from their positions on the left side of the screen; once you've fired a shot at both of them to kill them you'll come to a third green (or blue if Alpha Ship has been destroyed, or red if both Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed) Turtle on the right side of the screen - and once you've fired a shot at it to destroy it, it'll leave a Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile if Alpha Ship has been destroyed, or Hyper-Bomb if Alpha and Beta Ship have been destroyed or Special-Bonus if you have the maximum of four special weapons in storage) behind for you. Once you have collected the Ring-Laser (or Melt-Missile or Hyper-Bomb or Special-Bonus) the song that you had been hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will fade out. NOTE: If you had the maximum of four special weapons in storage when you destroyed the yellow Turtle on this stage, it would have left a Hyper-Booster behind instead of an Energy-Capsule - and if you had collected it, it would make your ship fly directly to the end of the stage (much like Beraboh Man did when he collected a Shinkansen powerup in his self-titled game), as the text of "EMERGENT ESCAPE!! CHALLENGING AREA" appeared on the screen; your ship also gets fully re-energized and any enemy killed during the "Emergent Escape" is 10 times its usual value.

Once the Strike-Ants' theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, two more Pinseto will come flying towards you; once you've fired a shot at both of them to kill them, two more Red Sasori will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen while firing two boomerangs at you (which, once again, can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece). Once you have fired enough shots at both of them to defeat them, they will explode and eight more Pinseto will come flying towards you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to the Strike-Ants themselves: an enormous pair of ants, who attack by firing projectiles from their claws and needles from their noses (which, like the boomerangs that were fired at you by the Purple and Red Sasori, can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece). Therefore, it is advisable to aim for their claws (worth 1000 points when destroyed) first, as they use them to shield their aforementioned noses (worth 2000 points when destroyed) - and once you have destroyed all four of their claws and both of their noses, they shall no longer be able to fire any more projectiles or needles at you from them, so you must then aim for their tails (which are worth 5000 points when destroyed) before aiming for their central bodies (which are worth 10000 points when destroyed) to finish them off. Once you've done so they will emit a scream of death and explode; you will also receive 45000 more points once they have done so as the text "DESTROYED THE TARGET!!" appears on the screen. You can also aim for one of the two pairs of three legs on their sides to kill them instantly without having to destroy their claws, noses, tails or their central bodies - however, like Triple-Eye, they'll retreat if you take too long to defeat them and the text "MISSED THE TARGET ENEMY!!" shall again appear upon the screen. But regardless of whether you have managed to defeat them or not, you will proceed to the third stage once the screen has faded out; the next target is Roller-Snail, who attacks by firing projectiles from the roller that gives him his name and megaphylls from the two launchers mounted on either side of it, while butting out with his head.
