Race Types
According to Gamereactor, the game will start off in a night club where the player selects their character and car. Juice Games has decided to remove the racing calender, the respect system and the drag races. After choosing a character and car, the player will get a list of available races, three of which must be won in order to move up to the next level. Juiced 2 includes two types of racing - Circuit and Drift races. This game has been deemed  the prerelease game of the year.

Your Character
A new feature in the game is the ability for the player to design their own character, from hair color to sock color, which will make sure that no two drivers are alike and all online racers are unique. It has been rumoured that there will be over 300 brands of clothes to choose from.

Modding
Players will also be able to modify and tune their cars with over 10,000 upgrades including bodykits, spoilers, rims, doors, wing mirrors, hoods, exhausts, ride height, sun roof etc... performance upgrades and even the interior of your car(seats and steering wheels and even wing mirror, it is said in an interview that you can now put in speakers, or TV's Amps etc...). All upgrades are licensed products from real companies such as Greddy, Veilside BuddyClub and Stillen. If a player selects a new body kit, he or she will also be able to watch as the new body parts are added to the car giving an inside view on how real cars are customized with body kits and other modifications. There will be hundreds of new colorus and finishes (such as varnish or Matte). There will be over 1 million decals to choose from, resize and move with up to 50 Layers. You can also save a certain decal combination and apply it to other cars in your garage. As there are different towns in different countries, you can also change your license plate(e.g. an Australian license plate for Sydney) which will have your Username on it.

Driver DNA
Juiced Games has also introduced a new phenomenon called Driver DNA which records a players style of driving and creates a strand of "DNA". Other players can then download your DNA from Playstation Network or XBOX Live and race against it before they challenge you.

Online features
Like the previous Juiced game, Online features such as Pink Slip Races will affect your Career mode.  A new feature is to have an Online Career and Crew. You can download your friends' Driver DNA, view it and add them to your crew. You can trade cars and other items online. Each car has a log book which tells the current owner how many people have owned the car and what races it has been in. Online betting updates allow a player to bet during races, see how many people are betting on and against them, and what their odds are. Unfortunately, Online will not be a feature on the PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS versions.

Cities
All of the following environments are available for racing.

* London: The capital city of London is steeped in history and drivers get the chance to race around world-famous landmarks that usually only see traffic at a pedestrian 30 MPH. Drivers can hit fifth gear as they tear down the bank of the Thames towards Big Ben and the houses of parliament. Drivers hurtle down Whitehall past Horse Guard's Parade and through Admiralty Arch, drifting around Piccadilly Circus and on to Trafalgar Square. The London streets throw up exciting and challenging routes. Drifters will enjoy the London track as it snakes around the London Eye.
* Paris: Paris is the drifter's dream location. There is an awesome spiraling tracks around the Eiffel Tower. The curves and chicanes twist and turn beneath the mammoth structure and only the most controlled drivers will be able to handle the track's many surprises.
* Rome: The imperial city of Rome is home to some of the oldest and most spectacular buildings in the game. Founded in 753 BC the streets of Rome may have witnessed chariot racing but this is something completely new. Tires scream around the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II, the Arch of Constantine and past the Coliseum. It's this last location that really catches the spirit of the game with a spiraling track in and around the Coliseum that will have drifting fans salivating for more.
* San Francisco: The cosmopolitan west coast city of San Francisco is the ideal location for a race meet. The undulating streets challenge even the most accomplished drivers with many cars flying around the circuit. The slow curve of the Embarcadero is the place to reach top speeds as drivers hurtle past the Ferry Building, the foot of Market Street, before turning into the city around Union Square and past the Trans America Pyramid in the financial district.
* Sydney: Located on the southeast corner of Australia, Sydney is an excellent location for drivers to visit. A fast track, Sydney is instantly recognizable because of the unique opera house and the awesome Harbour Bridge that crosses between the central business district and the North Shore.
* Tokyo: Japan's capital city is awash with neon and is an ideal event partner. The Rainbow Bridge dominates the course and drivers speed across the distinctive districts of Airake and Shinjuku and feature landmarks such as the Fuji Building and the Big Site.

Juiced 2's cars are also divided into classes.
* Exotic: The pinnacle of automotive engineering, exotics are high performance cars that prove the benchmark in Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights. Some drivers will strive to earn enough money to maybe buy themselves a Azcari KZ1 or a Pagani Zonda Roadster F. Others will try to take a more affordable car and mod it so it can perhaps compete against an exotic.
* Ricers: The late 80s saw the genesis of the modding scene. Starting in southern California, can enthusiasts began to modify their imported Japanese vehicles, following similar trends that originated in Japan. Common upgrades soon became available allowing the replacement of standard factory components with performance parts. Juiced 2 includes some awesome Japanese cars from the likes of Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota. The good looks and outstanding performance potential makes these cars a must for serious modders.
* Euro: There's no doubt that the kinds of the modding scene have been the Japanese imports. However, the European car manufacturers have started to get noticed too. The pinnacle of the Euro scene has to be the BMW M3, but there are others too. The Volswagen Golf GTi, SEAT Leon Cupra R, and the Ford Focus SVT lead up an impressive pack of highly moddable cars.
* Old Muscle: A muscle car is a high performance car with a large capacity engine. The original muscle cars appeared between 1964 and 1973 from American manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Plymouth, Dodge, Pontiac, and Ford. The appearance of the muscle car marked a general trend towards factory performance and in-turn reflected the importance of the youth market. Muscle cars offered a range of affordable vehicles with strong street performance that were perfect for racing. The addition of extra customized parts and body kits lead to even bigger engines so as not to comprise performance.
* Modern Muscle: The original muscle car era is long gone. However, in a bid to return to those heady days many US car manufacturers have reintroduced modern interpretations of old classics. These new pretenders feature large V6 or V8 engines supplying an impressive 425 HP. They've been styled in a manner that acknowledges their roots but also looks like the future. Juiced 2 features modern muscle cars like the Didge Viper, Dodge Charger, and Ford Mustang.

Soundtrack
Each race event attended by musicians and DJ's which give it a 'nightclub' feel. Juice Games called upon Adam Freeland to lay down some well known tunes and mix his own music too. The end result is a smooth R&B, Hip-Hop vibe that comes to life during races along with some huge beats and classic rock.
