Sora

Dive Boss: Brawlamari

Dive Mode
A Rank B Rank C Rank Gold Reward
100,000+ 50,000-99,999 ≤49,999 Treasure Goggles

During his dive to the Grid, Sora encounters the enormous octopus Nightmare, Brawlamari. It can attack by either shooting lasers from its tentacles, splitting a boulder, slashing with its tentacles, shooting spheres of light in place of ink, or slowing its fall in an attempt to get Sora to collide with it mid-dive. All attacks can be dodged with Y button, excluding the last; press B button for Sora to perform an aerial brake, momentarily slowing his fall and avoiding a clash with the Nightmare. Following this attack, Sora will be close enough to Brawlamari to be able to attack. Target the colorful bubbles on its head until it once again speeds up its fall, restarting the barrage of attacks which Sora must dodge. Defeat Brawlamari quickly for a high rank. The less health Sora loses, the quicker the battle.

When Sora drops into the world, he recognizes it from his previous visit despite the visual changes. Upon gaining control, make the necessary preparations at the Save Point and Moogle Shop before jumping in. Update your Command Deck to accommodate the stronger enemies, upgrade the Keyblade from Skull Noise to Guardian Bell, spend some time with your Spirits, and create new Spirits using the recipes from the Moogle Shop and exploration. Now, progress forward to meet the new Nightmares. Clear the area, then find the red tracks which lead to the next level. Before taking them, use Flowmotion to get up on the ledge behind them. Here you should find a chest containing Troubling Fancy. Now drop back down and hop on the tracks; Sora will use Flowmotion to take them up. Defeat the next set of Dream Eaters and take the red track to the right. Sora will have to jump off mid-ride to catch a chest on a ledge to his right. Open it for a Water Barrel and continue up. Once you reach the top, defeat the Dream Eaters that spawn and find the tracks leading down to the left. Again, take the right track and hop on a right ledge for a Block-it Chocolate 2. From here, head down the stairs to the exit.

Use the tracks to help dispatch the Dream Eaters in this area quickly. From the entrance, turn right around the corner and use Flowmotion to get up this wall. Here you will find a large chest containing Circle Raid. Now ride the track up ahead for a scene. Sora gets into trouble with the local guards, and he must now fight them. Before moving forward, turn around and drop down to find a chest containing Confetti Candy. Now jump back up and follow the path to trigger an attack by the guards. These aren't typical Dream Eaters; they're tough opponents, complete with strong combos and aerial attacks. Use the tracks extensively to deal plenty of damage without taking much yourself. Following their defeat, climb up the tower next to the path here using Flowmotion to find a platform at the top by some tracks. Open the chest on it for a Dulcet Figment. Drop back down and continue along the path. Battle more of the guards and Flowmotion up the wall to find the two chests containing a Fleeting Figment and a Royal Cake by the hexagonal platforms. Find the chest at the foot of the lower hexagonal platforms for a Potion. After the scene, defeat the area's Nightmares and collect the two treasures on either side of the raised center for a Drop-Me-Not and Block-it Chocolate. Save at the Save Point before boarding the Recognizer to the Docks.

Solar Sailor and Rectifier

A large amount of enemies spawn upon Sora's entrance. Knock them out and find a chest right next to the pillar in the center (which you may examine but not use); open it for a Drop-Me-Not. Head towards the left wall of the area for a chest containing a Balloon. All the way to the right is a chest containing a Panacea. Move forward from here to the Save Point, and exit to the Solar Sailor. Sora now finds himself aboard the ship, in a narrow and brightly-lit hallway. Behind the second set of stacked boxes is a Confetti Candy 2. Jump through the window to the right and continue to fight the Dream Eaters as you pass. Take the next stack of boxes up to the second level, then use Reality Shift to destroy the automated turret. The wall will shatter, leading Sora into a split path.

Start off by heading straight forward, past the next set of stacked boxes. Open the chest back here for a Hi-Potion. Jump into the hall to the right through the window and then through the next. Again, destroy the turret with Reality Shift to shatter the wall, but pick up the Panacea before exiting through it. At the end of this path are three chests containing a Water Barrel, a Fleeting Figment, and Balloonra. Access the next level via the stacked boxes in this hall. Sora is now on the roof of the Solar Sailor. Turn around and head all the way to the end of the ship to find more enemies and Treasure Goggles. Defeat them and head back to Sora's entry point. Drop down to the middle hall from here, then turn left at the next fork for a Balloon. Use Flowmotion to get back up to the roof, then head to the back to enter the next area. Return to the Solar Sailor to collect the final treasure of the area, the Wondrous Figment, and make it back to the Docks. Board it once again and shortcut to the back to get to the Rectifier.

Head left and find a chest along the eastern wall that contains a Drop-Me-Not. Keep going this way to the end of the path for an Ice Dream Cone 2. Now turn back and head to the other end of this level. Here you should find a higher platform leading to the next. Behind a box on this platform is a Potion. Jump up to the next platform and you should see two more platforms being raised and lowered in front of Sora. Hop on the left one to find a Lofty Fantasy. Jump off to the ground floor, and at the end of this area you should find a chest containing an Ice Dream Cone. Now take the western staircase to a narrow path. Defeat the enemies that spawn before opening the chests containing a Shield Cookie and Panacea. Go back the way you came and find the other staircase to move forward. Open the chest for a Hi-Potion and continue to the second floor of the Rectifier. Drop down to the right and open the chests for an Ice Dream Cone and Paint Gun: Green x10. Jump back up and continue up the ramp for a Potion. Continue on along the tracks until you arrive at a split path. Go right to find a chest containing Drop-Me-Not, then use Reality Shift on the transporter before taking it to a new level. Open the chests here for a Shield Cookie 2 and a Cyber Yog Recipe. Return to the Save Point and Moogle Shop, and prepare for the world's boss before riding the elevator.

Boss: Rinzler

Rinzler is a challenging opponent. His runs are much quicker than Sora's, so actively use dodges if he comes after you. His combos are also powerful, so don't let Sora get caught up in them. Fortunately, his attacks aren't too difficult to dodge. He may either use his discs to strike at Sora or throw them from afar. These discs have the ability to target Sora and home into him, so again, dodge whenever you see them thrown. As if he wasn't powerful enough, Rinzler also has the ability to reverse the gravity of the arena, effectively moving the fight to the ceiling and changing Sora's sense of direction. You can either keep fighting here or, if the change proves too difficult to adjust too, dodge. Whether through the use of the dodge roll or Flowmotion, avoid getting hit by Rinzler until he reverses the arena back to normal. Be wary of the drop, as Rinzler will take this opportunity to slam Sora into the ground. Dodge as soon as you land before continuing the attack. This pattern will continue until Rinzler is defeated, earning Sora the Dual Disc and allowing him to leave the world.

Riku

Dive Mode
A Rank B Rank C Rank Gold Reward
30,000+ 15,000-29,999 ≤14,999 Treasure Goggles

Upon arrival, Riku, like Sora, is confronted by guards who wish to take him prisoner. Riku goes along with the guards and meets another prisoner, Sam. Following the short introductory scene, Riku will be thrust into a life-or-death battle of Light Cycles. When Riku is on his Light Cycle, he may switch between ribbons and weapons fire to deal with enemies accordingly as he makes his way to the goal. Press Y button to switch between these two modes when necessary. Primarily use ribbons when the other racers are behind Riku to trip them up. Since Riku is faster in this mode, he can also get ahead of racers this way to defeat them with the ribbon. Racers coming up from behind Riku are indicated by the "Danger" arrow at the bottom of the screen, so have his ribbons ready. Alternatively, use weapons fire, firing assault shots by pressing A button in this mode, to take down any racers which Riku cannot catch up to along with the aerial fighters which come up midway into the race. Oftentimes the other cyclers will attempt to trip Riku up with their own ribbons; press B button to jump over them as they cross Riku's path to effectively avoid them. Save your health when fighting the cyber soldiers, as the real challenge comes when a Dream Eater arrives onto the track.

The Commantis is vulnerable to the same attacks as the other cyclers; it begins the battle by coming up behind Riku, in which case Riku can use ribbons to attack. After dealing a good amount of damage, the Commantis will spear through Riku to get ahead of him. Avoid this attack and switch formation, staying off to the side of the track and firing until the Commantis places itself behind Riku, repeating the cycle. The Nightmare's attacks consist primarily of drilling into Riku and throwing discs at him. Jump over the discs and avoid its other attacks easily by steering the Light Cycle out of its way. Clearing the battle will raise Riku's maximum HP, and get him back on foot.
