Walkthrough
Prologue: A Rouge's Welcome
Rougeport
- Get off the boat after a long cutscene, head up to see an event
- Head toward the two and the goomba will hide behind you. Lord Crump will fight you.

Lord Crump is an easy win. Just hit him 6 times (3 if you use action command) and he'll fall. There's no way you'll lose.
- Watch the cutscene, then talk with the girl goomba and Toadsworth. Toadsworth will explain about the Princess and the goomba (Goombella) will join your party.
- Go west, you'll accidently step on Zess T.'s contacts. Because of that, she won't let you pass until you get her new ones. Order them at Toad Bros. Bazzar.
- Head to East Rougeport, you'll be robbed.
- Head back to town square, go to the back and enter the house on your right. Talk with the bandit to get your money.
- Go back to the east part of town, enter the building next to the one with a Shine Sprite symbol.
- Talk with the professor.
- Go into the sewers.
Rougeport Sewers
- You'll get into a fight with the entire goomba family. They only have 2 HP and 1 ATK. Remember to jump on the ParaGoomba and use your hammer on the Spiked Goomba.
- Continue east, jump on the moving platform and go down the pipe.
- Continue through the sewers and smash the two yellow blocks, a pipe will appear.
- Go into the pipe, hit the ! Block on the other side.
- Ascend the stairs, drop down behind the gray platform and get the key.
- Enter the back room, unlcok the chest and you'll be "cursed" with a paper airplane ability.
- Fly to the other side of the room and enter the door.
- Watch the cutscene, afterwards you'll learn Sweet Treat.
- Go back to where the surface pipe is, fly to the other side.
- Continue, fight the Blooper

- Get on the platform, you'll be taken to a pipe. Enter it to start Chapter 1.
Chapter 1: Castle and Dragon
Petal Meadows
- Follow the path east, stuff will happen.
- Hit the blocks on the way to get some items and a badge.
- Search the bush near the river for a ! Block. Hit it and a bridge will appear.
- Enter Petalburg
Petalburg
- watch the cut scene. after the cutscene is over, head east
- Go to the pink house and talk with the mayor. He'll let you, Murphy, go past the gate.
Shwonk Fortress
- Look for POW Blocks in the bushes, they are the key to defeaing the guardians.
- Defeat all the guardians. Use POW Blocks.
- Go into the main fortress, talk with the statue.
- Complete his quiz to continue
- What is hidden in this place? (STONE KEYS)

- Go west and east underneath the fortress and acquire the Moon and Sun Stones, fight the Fuzzies that block your path.
- Fight the Gold Fuzzy.

Take out the Gold Fuzzy first. When his HP drops to 5, he'll call on his Fuzzy Horde. When the Gold Fuzzy is defeated, the horde will run away.
- Go back to the surface
- Go to the meadows.
- Try to leave Petalburg, Koops will join you.
- Go back to the meadows and insert the Sun Stone and Moon Stone into the cooresponding slots to make 2 ! Blocks appear.
- Hold Koops is line with one ! Block, and you stand next to another. Let go of the X Button right before you land on the block.
- Take the pipe to the back and enter the castle.
Hooktail Castle
- Go outside to the bridge. Drop down onto the platforms, jump, and use Koops to get a HP Plus badge. Equip it.
- Go to the top floor of the small corridor, exit, then fly out to the other side.
- Enter the mezzanine. Head east.
- Watch the cutscene. If you answer yes to the question Koops asks, you'll learn that Hooktail's weakness is a sound that begins with a "cr" and ends with "icket".
- Check the red bones at the end of the hallway, you'll be ambushed.
- Fend off the dull bones with your hammer, then go after the Red Bones. File:Redbones.PNG
- Once the Red Bones is defeated, pay a visit to the dungeon of the castle.
- Retrieve the Black Key in the Spike Chamber.
- Once you've retrieved the key, cross the maze and escape before the ceiling crushes you.
- Learn a new paper ability from the Black Chest Demon.
- Turn sideways to enter the cell and snag and equip the Attack FX R Badge.
- Return to the room where you found the Red Bones and turn sideways to enter the cell and get the castle key.
- Ride the elevator to the third floor.
- Hit two switches to create a floor and go through the windowsill to continue on.
- Ride the elevator to the next floor.
- Meet Ms. Mowz and plunder the treasures in the room, including the castle key.
- Ride the block to next floor of the room and use the plane panel to get to the door.
- Lower the block to snag the castle key.
- Head up the stairs to Hooktail's room.
- Defeat Hooktail.

Be sure to equip the Attack FX R badge to nauseate Hooktail. When Hooktail becomes nauseated, her attack and defense will drop. Once you've reduced her HP to 0, she'll beg if you want 1,000 coins, a badge, or if you want to sniff her feet. After she stops begging, she'll eat the audience to replenish 10 HP! Keep jumping on Hooktail to make her cough up your audience until she is finally defeated.
After Hooktail falls, she'll spit up Koopley, Koops' dad. For defeating Hooktail, Koopley gives you the Diamond Star, which he found in Hooktail's stomach. After that, the chapter ends.

Bowser Event
bowser will be waiting for kammy to appear, and he is fed up with waiting. all you have to do is head right and at the end of the hallway, kammy will appear from the door. a koopa will tell kammy that someone has already kidnapped peach. bowser will say that its his job, and will fly away in his clowncoppter with kammy following.
Rougeport
- Leave Petalburg and visit the Thousand-Year Door.
- After talking to the professor, meet Punio
- After Punio tells you what's happening at the Great Tree, go through the pipe to Boggly Woods to begin Chapter 2.
Chapter 2: The Great Boggly Tree
Boggly Woods
- Head to the Great Tree.
- Visit Flurrie.
- Defeat the Shadow Sirens to get Flurrie's necklace back.
- Give the necklace to Flurrie and she'll join you.
- Have Flurrie blow open the Secret Entrance to the Great Tree.
The Great Tree
- Defeat 2 X-Nauts at the front gate.
- Meet the Punies.
- Defeat the X-Naut for the Red Key and free the Puni Elder.
- Make the pipe to the room below appear.
- Have Flurrie blow the Punies across the bubble pit.
- Head for the Jabbies' room
- Head east to fight 10 Jabbies.
- Get the Blue Key and free 90 Punies.
- Head west and defeat 100 Jabbies.
- Get trapped in a cell, and escape it by turning sideways.
- Head down the pipe that appeared in front of the cell.
- Hit the black ! Switch.
- Return to the room where you found the blue key.
- Hit the white ! switches in this order: sun, moon, Puni and star
- Get the Super Boots
- Help the Punies escape.
- Head downstairs.
- Get across the pond.
- Insert the Puni Orb to make the Emerald Star appear.
- Escape the Great Tree before the bomb explodes.
- Confront Lord Crump.
- Defeat Magnus Von Grapple.

Once you catch up to Lord Crump, he'll have his Magnus Von Grapple Robot attack you. Magnus Von Grapple attacks with earthquakes, stomping at you and releasing its fists. When Magnus releases its fists, take out the fists before they can hit you. Keep on smacking the robot until it is done for.
Once Magnus is defeated, Crump will drop the Emerald Star and he and the X-Nauts will leave the tree, and never return. You'll get the Emerald Star and Chapter 2 will be over.

- Tell Peeka the password (yellow) to visit Don Pianta

After defeating the Rank 5 team, Bowser will show up and challenge you to a battle. Bowser's attacks include breathing fire on you and your partner, biting you, and jumping on you or your partner. If Bowser jumps on you, you'll lose one of your commands, so be sure to duck when Bowser's about to jump on you. Just administer a lot of hurt to Bowser until he's down.
The Glitz Pit: Ranks 4-1
- Go to the Phone Booth to snag the key to the storeroom.
- Break the blocks and hit the switch to the second floor.
- Sneak into the vents and eavesdrop on Grubba and Jolene's conversation.
- Rise to rank 1.
- Remove the Great Gonzales posters to get the key to the storeroom on the second floor.
- Get rid of the yellow block to find King K and Bandy Andy
- Escape the old Minor League Locker Room and head to the ring.

After depleting half of the Hawk's HP, Rawk Hawk will jump onto the ceiling and shake it up, so you might want to knock him over using Flurrie's Body Slam or Mario's Quake Hammer.

- Get the Dubious Paper out of the desk
- Confront Grubba in the ring.
