Nintendo Switch controls are currently unconfirmed but there’s no reason why they won’t just use the same controls as GameCube

B button B button Hammer. After getting hammer upgrades, hold B button and rotate the Neutral control to spin the hammer. Cancel Action/Return to Previous
X button X button Use partners' abilities Attack audience members who throw items at you
Y button Y button Turn into a plane or boat (once you unlock the power and are standing on the appropriate panel) Switch who attacks first between Mario and his partner
Z button R button Display stats, see previous parts of a conversation N/A
L button ZL button Scroll through menus Used for some moves
R button ZR button Once unlocked, press and hold to make Mario thin. Rotating the control stick while holding the button turns Mario into a tube. Used for some moves
