- Buzzards: These bone-pickers are frequently seen circling the sky. They can be shot down, but obly a precise hit will kill one, although there is no logical reason for doing this.
- Baby Swamp Crawlers: These can be shot on sight or skewered with a spear in order to be used as bait.
- Giant Dragonfly: These are often seen hovering above tall grass or brushwood. They can be shot on sight or used as bait.
- Larvae: Can be shot or skewered to use as bait.
